It's time once again to 'get ready to match the stars' with a new edition of Dennis Hensley's The MisMatch Game, the show the Los Angeles Times calls, 'witty, ribald ... an adventure in surrealist era bending.' The side-splitting parody of the 70s game show returns to the Los Angeles LGBT Center's Renberg Theatre for two hilarious nights today, July 23 at 8pm and Sunday, July 24 at 7pm.

The side-splitting parody of the 70s game show returns to the Los Angeles LGBT Center's Renberg Theatre for two hilarious nights on Saturday, July 23 at 8pm and Sunday, July 24 at 7pm.

ROCKWELL TABLE AND STAGE presents 'Just Come To This: The Songs of Adam Wachter' on Monday, May 23 at 8:00pm. The evening will feature works by up-and-coming musical theater composer/lyricist Adam Wachter, including original songs from his musicals Tarrytown and Zionsville, along with other favorites and new material written specifically for this night, all performed by a starry group of his obscenely talented, generous, and attention-hungry Broadway- and Television-star friends who have since all defected to the West Coast.

On Monday, February 29, Villain: DeBlanks SPACE HOLE! made its West Coast premiere at Rockwell Table & Stage in LA, benefitting the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. The hilarious, one-night performance starred Nicole Parker, Barrett Foa, Mary Birdsong, Tom Lenk, Gabrielle Ruiz & Greg Ainsworth, and the special media guest was Tom Perumean of KABC-LA. Let's admit it:  Theater is sanctioned voyeurism, offering us a glimpse into lives we might not otherwise see.  Often the payoff is in empathy, all bound up with the guilty pleasure of sitting in the dark watching other people in conflict.   In BUYER & CELLAR at TheaterWorks in Hartford, empathy takes a dive while the guilty pleasure is juiced up by the addition of celebrity watching-sort of.  

Earlier this week, the cast of Broadway's ROCK OF AGES reunited at Highline Ballroom for DON'T BREAK UP THE BAND.  Presented by Showmance Productions, the evening featured ROCK OF AGES Broadway cast members from opening night to closing night, as well as band members from the show's fictional rock band, Arsenal. Directed by Matthew DiCarlo and with music direction by Henry Aronson, The concert included songs from bands like REO Speedwagon, STYX, Pat Benatar, Foreigner, Twisted Sister, Poison, Asia, Whitesnake and more! Hollywood's Blank Theatre has announced a one night only staged reading of The Book of Liz by David Sedaris and Amy Sedaris, directed by Darin Anthony. The benefit event, which will raise funds for The Blank's Young Playwrights Festival (currently completing its 23rd year) is set for Monday, July 20 at 8pm at the Los Angeles LGBT Center's Renberg Theatre.
