Rattlestick Playwrights Theater's 14th Anniversary Gala, It's All About the Art, took place on October 6, 2008 at Caroline's on Broadway in New York City. Rattlestick celebrated the many artistic talents involved in their productions with this year's Gala, It's All About the Art, which featured a cocktail reception, dinner and a luxury auction of unique items and experiences in the company of Rattlestick alumni and friends. There was also be special entertainment, and proceeds went directly to support Rattlestick's pioneering theatrical work.

A star-studded pre-show party preceded the Drama Desk Awards, which were presented at the LaGuardia Concert Hall on May 20th!

Terrence McNally's Deuce, starring stage legends Angela Lansbury and Marian Seldes, opened on Sunday, May 6th at the Music Box Theatre, and BroadwayWorld was there!

The new Broadway musical High Fidelity opened on December 7th at the Imperial Theatre after beginning previews on November 20th

On December 4th, some of Broadway's top performers told the stories and sang the songs that made them famous in 'Gimme a Break, A Benefit Evening for The Transport Group'

Butley, the Broadway revival of the Simon Gray comedy starring Tony Award-winner Nathan Lane, opened on October 25th!

Mother Courage, presented by the Public Theater, opened at the Delacorte Theatre in Central Park on August 21st after beginning previews on August 8th
