The New Group will honor Wallace Shawn and Fred Wistow with their 2011 Michael Mendelson Award for Outstanding Commitment to Theater. The gala will take place on May 9 at Capitale, and will include a dinner, rection and auction.

Simon Callow will star in BEING SHAKESPEARE at Trafalgar Studios 1, opening on Wednesday 22 June, with previews from 15 June, running until 23 July.

The Royal Court Theatre will this month be screening two of Wallace Shawn's most acclaimed films, and staging readings of five of his plays, as part of its Wallace Shawn Season.

Directed by Indhu Rubasingham and performed by Holly Aird, Cavan Clerkin, Brendan Coyle, Amanda Drew, John Marquez and Javone Prince, Chain Play II will be performed for one night only on 29 February 2008 at 7.30pm.
