PROMISES star Kristin Chenoweth will host 'A More Perfect Union: Stories of Prejudice and Power' at the New York Public Library on Monday, December 6, 2010. The event is presented in conjuction with USA Network's Characters Unite Month, New York City's non-profit storytelling organization, Moth, and is part of a national series of five Character Unite Mainstage showcases, which launched its first tour in New Orleans this year. Denver, Seattle and Chicago are among the next stops.

HISTORY announced the winners of a special contest for teachers connected with its landmark 12-part television series, AMERICA THE STORY OF US, which premiered on April 25, 2010 and concluded on Memorial Day. The Innovation in History Education contest invited teachers to submit outstanding American history lesson plans for a chance to win a total of $25,000 in prizes. The contest emphasized the use of technology to develop engaging and content-rich history lesson plans for today's 21st century students, and was open to Middle School and High School teachers, with 1 Grand Prize Winner and 2 First Prize Winners in each category.

NBC News and MSNBC have been honored with five national 2010 Edward R. Murrow awards, more than any other network. The national and local winners were announced today by The Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) and will be presented at the RTDNA awards dinner New York on October 11, 2010. The Murrow awards honor excellence in electronic journalism.
