About Face Theatre is pleased to announce its 2018-19 Season, featuring three groundbreaking productions including the world premiere of an original work.

Everybody has a nationality: most are inherited, and some are given to us. In the midst of a cultural and political climate dominated by Brexit, the Windrush scandal and debates about who has the right to belong, Chris Thorpe questions how we acquire these narratives and the internal and political conflicts that arise when people choose not to accept their nationality.

The Laguna Playhouse raised $1.7 Million at their annual gala held on May 12, 2018 at Island Hotel in Newport Beach, California. Attended by 400 playhouse patrons, the sold-out event featured a VIP Sponsors Reception, an elegant dinner, live and silent auction, entertainment and a special performance by 'Phantom of the Opera' star Davis Gaines. Honored at the event were the Moulton Family and South Coast Plaza.

The Scranton Shakespeare Festival (SSF) announces its seventh season - an ambitious program featuring two Shakespeare comedies, two musicals, a new devised work, and its annual Youth Theatre Lab piece. Audiences will have the opportunity to catch all the shows in repertory during the festival's signature last weekend, July 27 - 29, 2018.

Work Light Productions and The Playhouse on Rodney Square present MOTOWN THE MUSICAL for eight performances Tuesday, May 1 through Sunday, May 6.

Aisha Jawando recently played Martha in the original London cast of Motown the Musical. This Christmas, she stars in the title role of Hackney Empire's Cinderella. Darren Hart is a Hackney regular and is also known for television and film appearances. He'll be playing Buttons in this year's Cinderella.

Unbeknown to them, their identical twins they believed to have been killed in civil war twenty years earlier, are also residing in the UK and to confuse matters further, both sets of twins share the same name.

The Board of Directors of About Face Theatre Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Megan Carney as AFT's new Artistic Director. Carney, who currently serves as the Director of the Gender and Sexuality Center at the University of Illinois at Chicago, will join the company this fall. She succeeds Andrew Volkoff, who stepped down earlier this summer.
