Lemon, a new documentary about the acclaimed New York poet/playwright Lemon Andersen, will have its broadcast premiere on PBS as part of Latino Public Broadcasting's arts and culture series VOCES on Friday, October 19, 2012 from 10:00-11:00 p.m. ET (check local listings), in conjunction with Hispanic Heritage Month. Produced and directed by Laura Brownson and Beth Levison, Lemon is a Russell Simmons presentation in association with Impact Partners.

Hartford Stage Opens A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER, Starring Jefferson Mays, 10/11

Hartford Stage, under the leadership of Artistic Director Darko Tresnjak and Managing Director Michael Stotts, today announced the full cast and creative team for the world premiere of A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder withbook by Robert L. Freedman; music by Steven Lutvak; lyrics by Robert L. Freedman and Steven Lutvak; and directed by Darko Tresnjak. A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder will be on stage October 11 to November 11 and will feature Tony Award-winner Jefferson Mays, playing eight of the more than 20 characters.

David Levine Returns to New York with HABIT at PS122, Now thru 9/30

Performance Space 122 (PS122) and the French Institute Alliance Francaise (FIAF), New York's premiere French cultural center, present the New York premiere of Habit, from David Levine, as part of the 2012 Crossing the Line festival. Habit is a durational performance installation that features three actors performing a 90-minute drama on a continuous loop for eight hours a day. Using a commissioned script by playwright Jason Grote, Habit takes place within a four-walled, fully-furnished and functional American ranch house designed by Marsha Ginsberg and built inside a raw, unused space in the Essex Street Market on the Lower East Side.

Sundance Institute today announced that its President & Founder Robert Redford will present journalist and film critic Roger Ebert with the Vanguard Leadership Award in recognition of his advocacy of independent cinema. The award presentation will take place at the third annual 'Celebrate Sundance Institute' benefit, chaired by Institute Trustee Lyn Lear and her husband, Norman, on June 5, 2013 in Los Angeles.

The Sundance Institute Theatre Program is now accepting submissions for the 2013 Sundance Institute Theatre Lab, which will return to the Sundance Resort in Sundance, Utah. Under the supervision of Philip Himberg, Artistic Director, and Producing Director Christopher Hibma, the three-week Lab (July 8-28, 2013) is the centerpiece of the Theatre Program's year-round work and is designed to develop emerging and established artists and to create a place where their original work can be effectively mentored and challenged.
