The Old Globe presents the West Coast Premiere of Divine Rivalry. Based on a real-life event, the drama about two of history's most famous artists-and one of history's most infamous statesmen-is written by Michael Kramer with D. S. Moynihan. Directed by Michael Wilson, Divine Rivalry runs now through August 5 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Preview performances run through July 11. Opening night is Thursday, July 12 at 8:00 p.m. Get a first look at the production in the photos below!

Baby Tiger Productions, Daniel Wallace and Trish Whitehurst in association with the Falcon Theatre present the American premiere of The Gronholm Method written by Jordi Galceran Ferrer, translated by Anne Garcia-Romero and Mark St. Germain and directed by BT McNicholl, the first production of the Falcon Theatre's 2012-2013 Subscription Season.

The Old Globe today announced that Sean Lyons will play the role of Niccolò Machiavelli in the West Coast Premiere of Divine Rivalry.

The stars of the upcoming revival of JEKYLL & HYDE, Tony Award nominee Constantine Maroulis (Rock of Ages) and Grammy Award Nominee Deborah Cox (Aida), will host the 4th annual National High School Musical Theater Awards tonight, June 25th at 7:30pm at Broadway's Minskoff Theatre (200 W 45th St). The show will feature 60 of America's most talented young musical theater performers vying for the "Jimmy Award" for Best Performance by an Actress and Best Performance by an Actor. Winners will be awarded college scholarships and other prizes will be announced live.

REBECCA, the new musical based on the classic novel by Daphne du Maurier novel, has found its male and female leads: Jill Paice will play the role of "I" and Ryan Silverman the role of "Maxim de Winter." REBECCA will open on Broadway Sunday, November 18 at The Broadhurst Theatre. Previews will begin Tuesday, October 30.

The producers of NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT have announced that Tony nominee Erin Dilly will take on the role of Billie Bendix from Sunday, July 15th to Sunday, July 29th only while four-time Tony nominee Kelli O'Hara brings FAR FROM HEAVEN to Williamstown Theatre Festival prior to a 2013 Playwrights Horizons run. O'Hara returns to the show full time on Tuesday, July 31st.

To celebrate the end of their 30th anniversary and season, the not-for-profit Inside Broadway will partner with the hit, long-running production of Mamma Mia! to offer two free 'Creating the Magic' workshops today, June 14th at the Winter Garden Theatre.

Inside Broadway's 2012 Broadway Beacon Awards will be held at 6:00PM tonight, June 4th, 2012 at the Hudson Theatre in the Millennium Broadway Hotel in the heart of Times Square at 145 West 44th Street. The evening will honor How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying star and singer/songwriter Nick Jonas, model, philanthropist and Chicago star Christie Brinkley (currently starring on Broadway before joining the national tour), I.A.T.S.E. President James J. Claffey, Jr., and The Millennium Broadway Hotel for their longstanding contributions to Times Square and the Broadway community. The evening, which begins with a cocktail hour, will be hosted by FOX5 reporter Julie Chang. The awards ceremony will begin at 7:30pm.

The students performed a song from their school's production of a student version of a Broadway musical, including Annie JR., Once on this Island JR., Disney's Aladdin JR., Guys and Dolls JR., Bugsy Malone JR., Meredith Willson's The Music Man JR., Dear Edwina JR., Fame JR., Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka JR., and Thoroughly Modern Millie JR. The cast of the Tony nominated Best Musical, ONCE will perform live on WNYC's "Soundcheck" Friday, May 25. "Soundcheck" can be heard locally at 2PM and 10PM EST on 93.9FM. The production opened to raves on Sunday, March 18, 2012 and currently plays on Broadway at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre (242 West 45th Street).
