Ghostlight Records has announced the release of the original Broadway cast recording of A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, the new musical currently running at the Walter Kerr Theatre. The album - produced by Joel Moss and Kurt Deutsch, with Joey Parnes serving as Executive Producer - will be released by digital outlets on February 25 with the disc available in stores and online April 1. The physical CD features a 40-page booklet with complete lyrics, color photos, a synopsis by librettist Robert L. Freedman and an essay by renowned theater writer and critic David Cote. Producers Darren Bagert, Dan Shaheen and Ted Snowdon have announced that a new block of tickets now on sale for performances through August 31, 2014, for the smash hit comedy Buyer & Cellar at the Barrow Street Theatre (27 Barrow Street). Written by Jonathan Tolins and directed by Stephen Brackett, Buyer & Cellar continues to break box office records having recouped its initial investment faster than any Off-Broadway show in recent history.

A new Sh-K-Boom listing has revealed that the label will release a cast album for the hit Broadway musical, starring Jefferson Mays and Bryce Pinkham. As of now, no official release date has been announced.

Jonathan Tolins, the author of Buyer & Cellar, will be a panelist on the Metropolitan Opera Quiz during the first intermission of this week's broadcast of Die Fledermaus. The new production of Strauss's operetta is performed in English with new dialogue by Broadway playwright Douglas Carter Beane, and features Tony Award winner Danny Burstein in the comic role of Frosch the jailer. This will be Tolins's second appearance on the Quiz after making his debut a year ago. Buyer & Cellar continues its record-breaking run at the Barrow Street Theatre off-Broadway and is currently selling tickets through April 13. The show will be produced later this year in Chicago, Los Angeles, and other cities to be announced.

Broadway In Chicago has confirmed that the hit off-Broadway comedy BUYER & CELLAR, starring Michael Urie, written by Jonathan Tolins and directed by Stephen Brackett, will play Chicago for a limited engagement beginning April 29, 2014 at the Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place (175 E. Chestnut). Daryl Roth, Producer of Tony Award-winning "Kinky Boots" along with Darren Bagert, Dan Shaheen and Ted Snowdon, bring this hilarious new comedy to Chicago.

My Name is Asher Lev, the long-running play adapted from the acclaimed novel by Chaim Potok at The Westside Theatre (407 W. 43rd Street) has extended its run three times and closes today, September 1, 2013, only. As of September 1st, My Name is Asher Lev will have played 24 previews and 317 performances. Performances began November 8th, 2012.
