dick clark productions and ABC today announced that American Music Award-winning rock duo, Twenty One Pilots, will return to the AMAs stage to deliver a YouTube Music Moment at the "2018 American Music Awards." The band will treat fans to their alternative/indie track "Jumpsuit," which peaked at No. 1 on Billboard's Alternative Songs chart and is the fastest-rising song to reach No. 1 on the Alternative Songs chart since the 2009 and garnered the top spot on the Rock Airplay chart. "Jumpsuit" is the first single from the band's highly anticipated fifth studio album, TRENCH, out today.

dick clark productions and ABC today announced that international film, tv and music sensation and three-time American Music Award-winning artist, Jennifer Lopez will debut a brand new single from her upcoming feature film, Second Act, at the “2018 American Music Awards.” The film follows Lopez's character Maya, a 40-year-old woman struggling with frustrations from unfulfilled dreams. Until, that is, she gets the chance to prove to Madison Avenue that street smarts are as valuable as book smarts, and that it's never too late for a Second Act. The new comedy, which also stars Leah Remini, Milo Ventimiglia and Vanessa Hudgens, hits theaters December 14. Lopez, a past host of the show, last performed on the American Music Awards stage in 2014. The Tony Award-winning, record-breaking hit musical Chicago will welcome YouTube sensation and Broadway star Todrick Hall in the role of "Billy Flynn" for one week only, October 16-21 at Detroit's Fisher Theatre.

The 2018 MTV EMA nominees have been revealed. Camila Cabello is the most nominated artist with nods in six categories including 'Best Artist' and 'Best Video' for 'Havana' featuring Young Thug. Ariana Grande and Post Malone are very close behind with five nominations each. Drake, Shawn Mendes and Dua Lipa also snagged an impressive number of nods with nominations in four categories each.

Daniel Borunda, creator and executive producer of the docu-series entitled, “America Unscripted,” is preparing for the production of a total of ten, 30 minute episodes of the forthcoming series. Production is slated for completion by the end of 2018. “America Unscripted” is described by Borunda as a “compelling, honest and unscripted television series.” He plansto interview people who live in culturally diverse and politically polarized cities throughout the United States with the goal of encouraging unity and hope. According to Daniel Borunda, “The idea for the docu-series sprung out of a series of events, personal to me, which started about two years ago. It began after I had heard a pastor's message about living an epic and honorable life.” Continuing, “The pastor discussed the fact that each of us is uniquely gifted to carry out a particular purpose in life, in essence living out one's destiny in a beneficial and uplifting way and how every one of us can be of service to others.' The pastor discussed, “living an epic life, with “epic” defined as how it relates to each person's unique contribution that each of us is here on earth to do.”

Queens Library will celebrate the 5th anniversary of its increasingly popular Culture Connection program with five concerts at five library locations, featuring a number of Broadway and jazz artists, and showcasing various flavors of the genres, from Broadway standards to Afro-Cuban jazz. Performers will include stars like Alton Fitzgerald White, best known for his role of King Mustafa in 'The Lion King,' and internationally acclaimed Cuban pianist Dayramir Gonzalez, as well as rising artists, who have already become strong and recognizable voices in the New York City jazz scene.

Bicoastal indie-pop duo EXES, composed of Brooklyn-based Allie McDonald and Venice beach-based producer Mike Derenzo, are preparing to release their new project Before You Go this Friday, October 5th. It's the day of the show, y'all: The Nashville premiere of Mart Crowley's The Boys in the Band is tonight - at The Barbershop Theatre, 4003 Indiana Avenue in The Nations - and six of the actors portraying Crowley's now-iconic characters took time from tech week to answer questions about their processes and to offer their reasons for why you should come see the show.

Nine Nashville area actors have been cast in the upcoming production of Mart Crowley's The Boys in the Band, which will play six performances at The Barbershop Theatre, 4003 Indiana Avenue, in a production helmed by veteran director Jeffrey Ellis, who is known throughout Tennessee as a leading theater journalist and critic.

Laurie Davidson has joined the cast of CATS, according to Deadline. The Universal Pictures and Working Title film is based on Andrew Lloyd Webber's classic hit musical.

As BroadwayWorld reported in July, Academy Award-winner Jennifer Hudson will lead Tom Hooper's upcoming film adaptation of CATs as 'Grizabella', alongside Ian McKellen, James Corden, and Taylor Swift. Until now, their roles had not yet been announced, but Andrew Lloyd Webber has just revealed that Swift will take on either Bombalurina or Demeter.

In a year of celebrating the achievements of women in country music, CMT today announced that Loretta Lynn will be honored with the “Artist of a Lifetime” award presented by Ram Trucks at this year's all-female “CMT Artists of the Year” event premiering live Wednesday, October 17 at 8:00 PM ET/PT. Academy Award winner and “Coal Miner's Daughter” actress Sissy Spacek will bestow the award to Lynn, who joins previous recipients of the honor including Shania Twain (2016), Kenny Rogers (2015), and Merle Haggard (2014).
