Duke City Repertory Theatre Presents a Reinvention of The Nutcracker and Donation Drive for YMCA's Henderson House

Duke City Repertory Theatre presents The Nutcracker, directed by Artistic Director Amelia Ampuero and written by Jake Minton, Phillip Klapperich, Kevin O'Donnell, and Tommy Rapley, and based on the story by E.T.A. Hoffman.  The show features company members Ezra Colon, Katie Becker Colon, Frank Taylor Green, Josh Heard, and Lauren Myers, as well as local Albuquerque favorites Ashley Daniels, Willis Miller, and Catharine Pilafas. The production runs December 3-20, 2015 at The Cell Theatre, 700 First St. NW 87102.

A well-aimed hockey puck takes out Lucy's two front teeth, and the coveted Christmas Trophy she and her classmates seek to win every year now hangs in jeopardy.

Duke City Repertory Theatre presents All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth, written by Catherine Bush and directed by DCRT company member Frank Taylor Green. Taking on the hilarious challenge of adult actors playing children, the show will feature company members Amelia Ampuero, Katie Becker Colon, Ezra Colon, Josh Heard, Lauren Myers, and newcomer Willis Miller as Sister Susan. Nick Blaemire, currently starring in the Broadway Revival of GODSPELL, will perform a set with his band the Hustle at the rock venue Bowery Electric on Monday, April 9th at 8:30pm. The band recently released their debut self-titled EP, which will be available for purchase at the venue as well as digitally on iTunes, CD Baby, Bandcamp, Amazon and Spotify. Hard copies are also being sold at the Circle in the Square Theatre, where GODSPELL plays eight shows a week.

Theatre Bay Area and the research firm WolfBrown announce the completion of the book Counting New Beans: Intrinsic Impact and the Value of Art. The book contains the final report of "Measuring the Intrinsic Impact of Live Theatre," and interviews with more than 20 prominent artistic directors in the United States, and essays by industry thought-leaders Diane Ragsdale, Arlene Goldbard, Rebecca Novick, and more. A book tour will launch March 12 in Chicago, and will visit eight cities in the United States including Minneapolis, Boston, New York, Washington, DC, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. Counting New Beans: Intrinsic Impact and the Value of Art is now available for purchase at www.theatrebayarea.org/intrinsicimpact. Also available on the site are the executive summary of the work and interview excerpts, available free of charge.
