The new American play Eclipsed by Danai Gurira, starring Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong'o, officially opened last night, March 6th, 2016 on Broadway at the Golden Theatre (252 W. 45th Street). The play also stars Pascale Armand, Akosua Busia, Zainab Jah and Saycon Sengbloh and is directed by Liesl Tommy. THE CRUCIBLE, Starring Oscar Nominee Saoirse Ronan, Begins on Broadway

The Broadway revival of Arthur Miller's The Crucible begins tonight, March 1, after moving its original start date to allow star Saoirse Ronan (a Best Actress Oscar nominee for her performance in the film BROOKLYN) to attend the Oscars in Los Angeles over the weekend.

Arthur Miller's THE CRUCIBLE will return to Broadway at the Walter Kerr Theatre (219 West 48th Street) this spring. Leading the production are Ben Whishaw (as John Proctor), Sophie Okonedo (as Elizabeth Proctor), Saoirse Ronan (as Abigail Williams), and Ciaran Hinds (as Deputy-Governor Danforth). Vulture.com, New York Magazine's culture and entertainment site, today announced the dates for the 2016 Vulture Festival, a pop-culture extravaganza celebrating the best of today's television, music, film, comedy, and more. The festival will take place May 21-22, 2016, at Milk Studios in New York City, with a weekend-long series of high-profile events to be announced in the spring, where more than 10,000 guests are expected.

THIS IS OUR YOUTH, a comedy by Kenneth Lonergan, opens 2016 for Marin Onstage in San Rafael. The play runs from January 15 to January 30 at the Belrose Theater with performances on Friday and Saturdays at 8pm and matinees on Saturday January 23 and 30 at 2pm. Tickets may be purchased in advance at www.marinonstage.org or at the door. Ticket prices are $20 for General, $18 for Seniors, $15 for Students. The play contains adult language and situations and is not recommended for children under 17.
