Queens Theatre to Offer Dance Classes, Performances this Spring

Queens Theatre (QT) and Managing Director Taryn Sacramone are cha-cha'ing into the spring season with new affordable Latin Dance classes every Thursday in March, and performances by the high-energy, high-impact artistry of the Jazz ensemble Giordano Dance Chicago and the magical lighting and imagery of Momix. Queens Theatre is located at 14 United Nations Avenue South, in Flushing Meadows Corona Park. Single tickets are $46 or $25 for rear seating and are available online at www.queenstheatre.org or by calling the Box Office at 718-760-0064. Tickets may also be purchased in-person at the Queens Theatre Box Office, Mondays from 10am to 2pm, Wednesdays through Sundays from 10am to 6pm.

The Award-Winning Astoria Performing Arts Center (APAC) has announced the world premiere production of a (mostly) non-violent, romantic comedy by Sandy Rustin's (Rated P [For Parenthood]) THE COTTAGE directed by Adam Dannheisser (Rock of Ages, resident director/performer). THE COTTAGE will play a three week limited engagement at Good Shepard United Methodist Church, 30-44 Crescent St (@30th Rd), in Astoria, Queens. Performances begin tonight, November 7 and continue through Saturday, November 23. Opening Night is Saturday, November 9 at 8 p.m.

Queens Theatre (QT) presents the L.A. Theatre Works production of THE GRADUATE, based on the 1963 'age of youth' novel and the classic 1967 Oscar-winning film, adapted for the stage by Terry Johnson. Innovative Theatre Foundation, has announced their 13th season will include a world premiere play by Sandy Rustin (Rated P (for Parenthood)) THE COTTAGE, directed by Adam Dannheisser (Rock of Ages, resident director), and Rodgers and Hammerstein's ALLEGRO, directed by Artistic Director Tom Wojtunik. APAC's performance venue is located at the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 30-44 Crescent St (@30th Rd), in Astoria, Queens. Astoria Performing Arts Center (APAC) will host its annual Gala at the Museum of the Moving Image, 36-01 35th Avenue, Astoria NY, on Thursday, March 14, 2013. For their extraordinary service to the community and their support of the arts, APAC will be honoring Assembly Member Aravella Simotas and Donna Finn, Principal of the Frank Sinatra School for the Performing Arts. The evening will include a cocktail reception catered by The Astor Room, an opportunity to explore the museum, and a special performance directed by APAC Artistic Director Tom Wojtunik.
