Sierra Repertory Theatre is celebrating 41 years of continued artistic and entertainment excellence in Tuolumne County. The recently announced 2020 Season of plays and musicals has already seen an influx of Season Subscribers rushing to reserve their tickets. 

Janus Concert Series (Artistic Director - Kaitlin Galetti) kicks off their sophomore season with a full concert production of Lerner and Loewe's beloved musical Camelot. The production is Directed by Jennifer Cox and Music Directed by Sarah Jenks. Three performances will take place on September 13, 14 and 15 in Kittler Hall on the campus of St. Benedict Parish Preparatory School.

Arthur, Guenevere, Lancelot, Merlin-these names spark the imagination and bring to mind images of knights, swords, castles, and magic. The tales of King Arthur, the Knights of the Round Table, and the legendary Camelot are the subject of myriad novels, movies, TV shows, songs, plays, and musicals. From the 1938 tale The Sword the Stone (which was made into the animated film by Disney in 1963) to the 2008 TV series Merlin to the 2005 Broadway show Monty Python's Spamalot (based on the 1975 movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail), for generations these stories have taken us on magical adventures. The 1960 musical Camelot, by Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe is based on the T.H. White novel The Once and Future King. Camelot comes to life at Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre May 9-June 22. Today's subject, Alexandra Silber, is known on both sides of the pond as a versatile, killer performer. This international dynamo is currently living her theatre life onstage at Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC) as Guenevere in Camelot. The production has been extended and now runs through July 8th in STC's Sydney Harman Hall space.

London Musical Theatre Orchestra is proud to announce its 2018 season which features three spectacular musicals in concert: Tony Award-winning Camelot by Lerner and Loewe at the London Palladium; Girlfriends, composed by Emmy Award-winner Howard Goodall and starring Lucie Jones and Lauren Samuels, at Bishopsgate Institute; and the return of festive favourite A Christmas Carol at the Lyceum Theatre. The concerts follow London Musical Theatre Orchestra and Hackney Empire's presentation of Martin Smith's King at Hackney Empire.

The Lyric Stage Company of Boston closes out the season with David Lee's adaptation of Lerner and Loewe's CAMELOT, a revision that hones in on the relationships among the three principals and retains the glorious score, while jettisoning considerable weight from the historically burdensome book. Producing Artistic Director Spiro Veloudos shapes the production with his vision for the 21st century, assisted by the virtuosic Music Director Catherine Stornetta and Rachel Bertone, whose choreography blends medieval style with modern dance steps.

Westport Country Playhouse announces that due to high ticket demand for its current production of Lerner & Loewe's 'Camelot,' an extra week of performances has been added, extending through Saturday, November 5.
