BroadwayWorld.com noticed something today as we scoured Facebook and it's something that we really liked, so we wanted to share it with you because it's not so often that you find such generosity for actors. This weekend, all roads lead to St. Louis as actors are headed there from all over the country to audition for the Muny's summer production of LES MISERABLES directed by Richard Jay-Alexander and with music direction by Kevin Stites.

And the World Goes Round by Kander & Ebb is a revue incorporating a compilation of their greatest hits and is often performed straight out with no frills or dramatic re-imaginings of any kind. Performers stand and sing center stage , and that's it. There have been two inventive productions within the last six months, one at the Actors co-op directed by Robert Marra and now this newest production at NoHo Arts directed by Gary Lee Reed, which is truly a labor of love from top to bottom.

The Old Globe received 10 San Diego Theatre Critics Circle Craig Noel Awards honoring excellence in 2012 San Diego County theater, the most wins of any theater company, at a ceremony held at the Museum of Modern Art San Diego on Feb. 4. The world premiere of Allegiance - A New American Musical garnered three awards, for Outstanding New Musical, Orchestrations and Featured Performance in a Musical for Michael K. Lee. The Scottsboro Boys also earned three awards, including Outstanding Resident Musical as well as Direction of a Musical and Choreography for Susan Stroman. Jonathan Caren's The Recommendation was named Outstanding New Play. The Globe's productions of Nobody Loves You, Inherit the Wind and As You Like It each received one award.

A modern interpretation of a classic text swept its nominated categories to receive five Craig Noel Awards tonight. Moxie Theatre parlayed three strong 2012 productions to take home the Braunagel Award for outstanding contribution to the San Diego arts scene by a small-budget theatre.

More than 110 local and national theater artists representing more than 45 San Diego theatrical productions will compete for the 2012 Craig Noel Awards.

This true-to-the-original Broadway production will be presented tonight, February 2 through March 10, 2013 by Be Wild About Music in association with Kevin Bailey and the NoHo Arts Center in North Hollywood, Calif. This question, posed by Shen Tei, the good-hearted, penniless and cross-dressing prostitute of Bertolt Brecht's Good Person of Szechwan, is central to the work of The Foundry Theatre. The play's concerns, and the earmarks of the Foundry's new production, make it an ideal offering from the company, which is celebrated for creating memorable theatrical events while pursuing civic inquiry and social justice. The show, starring the singular Taylor Mac as Shen Tei, is directed by Lear deBessonet and features original live music by 'indie rock vaudevillians' (SPIN) Cesar Alvarez and The Lisps.

As an actor, there is nothing like playing a leading role in a hit Broadway musical. Add to that having the chance to perform the role in front of a hometown audience, filled with family and friends, and you have the story of Stacey Todd Holt, who will play Leo Bloom, the budding theatrical producer in Mel Brooks' hit musical, The Producers when it plays the Fabulous Fox Theatre January 25 - 31, produced by Theater of the Stars.
