Vineyard Theatre will produce a developmental lab of the newly imagined musical ON A CLEAR DAY YOU CAN SEE FOREVER - with music by Burton Lane, lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner, a new book by Peter Parnell based on the original book by Alan Jay Lerner, and reconceived and directed by Michael Mayer - July 25 to July 30 at Vineyard Theatre (108 East 15th Street), it has been announced by Vineyard Theatre artistic directors Douglas Aibel and Sarah Stern.

Veteran humorist and playwright, Justin Moran, launched 'Spiderman Smackdown', a guerilla theatre project to write, rehearse, and perform a fully realized musical based on the character Spiderman in under 30 days with a budget of $0. Now the only spider and super hero related musical to of?cially open on March 15, Spidermusical. producers are sending an open invitation to the cast of Broadway's Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark to an opening night party at Sardi's. The cast has been quoted on BroadwayWorld.com as scrambling to reverse travel and hotel plans for friends and family, and as disappointed in missing what would have been a 'celebration of making it that far.' Therefore, the Spidermusical. team welcomes any and all Spider-Man cast and crew to party with them in spider-themed musical brotherhood, the ?rst drink on the house. (Party will begin post show, 10PM, on March 15th.)

Rising songwriters Jonathan Reid Gealt and Kait Kerrigan & Brian Lowdermilk will have a joint celebration of their respective CD releases 'Thirteen Stories Down' and 'Our First Mistake' on Sh-K-Boom Records with back-to-back concerts at downtown venue (Le) Poisson Rouge on Monday, February 7th. Gealt's concert begins at 7pm. Kerrigan-Lowdermilk start at 10pm. Doors open thirty minutes before show time. Tickets are $20 for each show or $30 for a full-night concert pass.
