New York Stage and Film and Vassar College, this summer celebrating the 31st Powerhouse Season, have announced the first round of casting for their summer collaboration, which runs June 26 - August 2 at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie.

Megan Hilty will star in New York City Center's annual Gala Annie Get Your Gun: In Concert, a one-night-only performance of the classic Irving Berlin musical, on October 27, 2015. Directed by Tony Award winner John Rando, the Gala will feature The Encores! Orchestra led by Encores! Music Director Rob Berman. Additional casting will be announced at a later date. The event will help fund New York City Center's artistic and education programs.

Producer Joey Parnes announced today that the new musical Bright Star, from Grammy and Emmy winner Steve Martin and Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Edie Brickell, will play a limited engagement at the Kennedy Center Eisenhower Theater in Washington, D.C. ahead of an anticipated spring 2016 opening on Broadway. I never questioned whether or not Tyce Green could sing. Rather, the question was, 'Can he carry a live show without an ensemble?' The answer is yes. At this point in his career, Green has a style of his own. Loose and earnest with a hint of humor. And he's a damn good interpreter. Even when I was concerned that his rock-tinged voice wouldn't fit the pre-existing style of a stong song, his spin would blow me away.
