Soho Theatre, Hightide and Talawa Theatre to Present GIRLS This Autumn

Soho Theatre, HighTide and Talawa Theatre Company present Theresa Ikoko's award-winning new play Girls, the funny and fiercely passionate new play by award-winning playwright Theresa Ikoko will premiere at HighTide Festival 2016 in September before its London premiere at Soho Theatre on 27 September. The production will also run at Birmingham Rep Theatre in between those dates.

Emilie Fleming will join the previously announced David Thaxton, Caroline Sheen and Neil McDermott to head the cast of the new British musical, ONLY THE BRAVE, premiering at the Wales Millennium Centre from 28 March to 2 April.  Based on the real lives of men and women caught up in the D-Day landings, this new production will be directed by Steve Marmion, Artistic Director of London's Soho Theatre.  It will be Wales Millennium Centre's first production of a full-scale, original musical. This Easter, Wales Millennium Centre will premiere its first full-scale, original musical, ONLY THE BRAVE, produced with Soho Theatre, Daniel Sparrow Productions and Birdsong Productions. 59E59 Theaters (Elysabeth Kleinhans, Artistic Director; Peter Tear, Executive Producer) welcomes 15th Oak with the US premiere of THE LIFE AND SORT OF DEATH OF ERIC ARGYLE, written by Ross Dungan and directed by Dan Herd. Part of 1st Irish at 59E59 Theaters, THE LIFE AND SORT OF DEATH OF ERIC ARGYLE begins performances on Wednesday, September 4 for a limited engagement through Sunday, September 29. Artistic Directors Steve Marmion and Max Roberts today announce the full cast for their joint new writing project UTOPIA, which is making its world premiere at Live Theatre on Thursday 31 May, before transferring to Soho Theatre on Wednesday 20 June, with opening night on Thursday 21 June. UTOPIA will star: Tobi Bakare (Greenland National Theatre; Crawling In The Dark Almeida Theatre and Gone Too Far, Royal Court Theatre); Laura Elphinstone (Top Girls, Chichester Festival Theatre/Trafalgar Studios; A Month in the Country, Chichester Festival Theatre and the film adaptation of The History Boys); Rufus Hound making his theatre debut, is most well-known for his regular team captainship on Argumental, Celebrity Juice, 8 Out of 10 Cats and Never Mind The Buzzc*cks; Pamela Miles (Darker Shores, Hampstead Theatre; Pygmalion, Theatre Royal Bath/Old Vic London and Lone Star Mark Three, Salisbury Playhouse); also making her stage debut Sophia Myles who is most well-known for her leading roles in film and TV including Tristan and Isolde and Spooks and David Whitaker one of the founders of Live Theatre, Newcastle, his theatre credits include The Pitmen Painters (Live Theatre/National Theatre/Broadway and West End) plus extensive credits for the Royal Shakespeare Company and Donmar Warehouse.
