La Jolla Playhouse announces the cast and creative team for its Page To Stage workshop production of Chasing the Song, a jubilant new musical by the team behind the Tony Award-winning musical Memphis, featuring book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro, music and lyrics by David Bryan and directed by Playhouse Artistic Director Christopher Ashley. Kicking off the Playhouse's 2014/15 season, Chasing the Song runs May 13 - June 15 in the Sheila and Hughes Potiker Theatre. Disney Channel has ordered a third season of its hit comedy series, 'Dog With A Blog.' It was announced today by Adam Bonnett, Executive Vice President, Original Programming, Disney Channel.

'The Making of The Sound of Music Live!' premiered on NBC on, November 27 at 8pm. The special, produced by NBC News' Peacock Productions, provides an exclusive, behind the scenes look at the three month countdown to 'The Sound of Music Live!,' a three-hour live event, premiering on Thursday, December 5 at 8/7C. The stars of 'Dog With a Blog' -- G Hannelius, Blake Michael, Francesca Capaldi, Beth Littleford, Regan Burns and their canine co-star, Mick -- host a Disney Channel Friday Night of Premieres programming event (8:00-10:00 p.m.) that includes the season premiere (8:30 p.m., ET/PT) of their hit sitcom for kids and families, on FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 20. The series is #1 in its time period among Kids 2-11, Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14.

Furthering its commitment to kids and families, Disney Channel has teamed with Common Sense Media to help kids and tweens safely navigate the internet and other digital platforms and to provide both parents and kids with easy tips and tools about online safety and etiquette. To encourage families to talk about these issues together, Disney Channel will present an episode of its hit series 'Dog With A Blog' that delivers both entertainment and information to kids and parents about online safety.

In an Almeida Theatre and Headlong co-production, Lyndsey Turner will direct the World Premiere of Lucy Kirkwood's Chimerica. The new dates for this production are 20 May - 6 July 2013, with press night on 28 May. Set designs are by Es Devlin with costumes by Christina Cunningham, lighting by Tim Lutkin, sound by Carolyn Downing and video design by Finn Ross.

GSN announces the launch of 'The American Bible Challenge Bible Study' -- a 10-week Bible Study hosted by author and television producer Phil Cooke. THE AMERICAN BIBLE CHALLENGE, a studio-based game show hosted by author and comedian Jeff Foxworthy in which contestants compete based on their knowledge of the Bible, returns for a 2nd season on Thursday, March 21st at 9:00pm ET/PT on GSN.

Disney Channel has officially renewed Dog with a Blog for a second season, Deadline has announced.

Classic Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick and Executive Director Greg Reiner, today announced complete casting for the company's upcoming new production of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Tony Award-winning musical PASSION, to be directed by John Doyle (director of the acclaimed Broadway revivals of Sondheim's Sweeney Todd and Company). Joining previously announced Melissa Errico (Clara), Judy Kuhn (Fosca) and Ryan Silverman (Giorgio) in the production are Stephen Bogardus (Colonel Ricci), Jeffry Denman (Lieutenant Barri), Jason Michael Evans (Private Augenti), Amy Justman (understudy), Ken Krugman (Lieutenant Torasso), Orville Mendoza (Sergeant Lombardi), Tom Nelis (Doctor Tambourri) and Will Reynolds (Major Rizzoli/Ludovic). PASSION is slated to begin performances on February 8, 2013 at CSC (136 East 13th Street), with an official press opening scheduled for Thursday, February 28, playing a limited engagement through Sunday, April 7. Tickets will go on sale to the public beginning at Noon on Thursday, January 3.

"As the World Turns" star Van Hansis and "Happy Endings" star Stephen Guarino have joined the cast of the new web series "EastSiders," which is scheduled to premiere on Friday, Dec. 14th.

Jermyn Street Theatre announces the cast for the UK premiere of the vintage off Broadway musical Boy Meets Boy. The line up comprises Stephen Ashfield, Craig Fletcher, Johnjo Flynn, Ben Kavanagh, Anna Nicholas and Benjamin Bailey, Carly Mackelvie, Gregory Sims, Biancha Szynal, Helen Turner, Jay Webb and Aron Wild.

The premiere of Disney Channel's 'Girl Vs. Monster,' part of the Disney Channel Original Movie franchise, delivered 4.9 million Total Viewers on Friday (8:00 p.m.). The premiere also delivered 2.8 million Kids 2-11, 2.2 million Kids 6-11 and 1.9 million Tweens, ranking as Friday's #1 TV telecast across target kid demographics. "Girl Vs. Monster" built each half-hour, peaking with 5.6 million Total Viewers and 3.2 million Kids 2-11. The movie led into the strong debut of the sitcom 'Dog With a Blog' (9:40 p.m.), which delivered 4.5 million Total Viewers, 2.6 million Kids 2-11, 2.1 million Kids 6-11 and 1.7 million Tweens. Its regular timeslot premiere is Sunday, November 4 (8:00 p.m.).

The Public Theater announced complete casting today for AS YOU LIKE IT, the first show of the 50th Anniversary season of free Shakespeare in the Park at the Delacorte. Directed by Daniel Sullivan, AS YOU LIKE IT will begin previews on Tuesday, June 5 and continue for four weeks through Saturday, June 30, opening on Thursday, June 21.

A timeless tale turned Broadway hit, The Secret Garden is the final production of the White Plains Performing Arts Center's 2011-2012 Mainstage season. This award winning family musical is based on the beloved classic novel of the same name, written by Frances Hodgson Burnett. The Secret Garden runs from May 11 through May 27. The show will star Stephen Tewksbury and Kristoffer Lowe.
