The Last Days of Judas Iscariot will receive a rare New York revival this spring at The Ellen Stewart Theatre at La MaMa (66 East 4th Street) with previews beginning March 9th, 2017 for a limited Off-Broadway engagement through March 26th.  Opening Night is set for Monday, March 13, 2017 at 7pm.

Cherry Lane Theatre and Seri Lawrence and Janio Marrero, MENTOR PROJECT's Producing Artistic Directors, have announced casting for the first production of the award-winning MENTOR PROJECT 2017 now in its 19th season - Ren Dara Santiago's THE SIBLINGS PLAY - being presented at Cherry Lane (38 Commerce St.) from February 22 - March 4, 2017.

Four award-winning playwrights will join the residency programs at Signature Theatre, the company announced today.

T. Schreiber Theatre presents 'The Fourth Annual Schreiber Shorts: An Evening of One Acts' today, January 25th, through February 11th at the Gloria Maddox Theatre.

Primitive Grace Theater Ensemble will present the World Premiere of FRINGE OF HUMANITY written and directed by Obie Award winner and SAG Award nominee Paul Calderon. Co-starring David Zayas (Dexter), performances begin January 11 at Access Theater. Opening is slated for tonight, January 19th.

T. Schreiber Theatre (TST) proudly presents 'The Fourth Annual Schreiber Shorts: An Evening of One Acts' January 25th and runs through February 11th. The 10-minute play series will feature works by 10 playwrights, selected from nearly 1000 submissions in a nationwide playwriting competition. Curated and produced by Halle Morse and Megan Grace, 'The Schreiber Shorts' marks the second production of TST' 2016-17 season. Warner Bros' theater slate includes a musical adaptation of the 1982 comedy film NIGHT SHIFT, and a play adaptation of the 1975 crime drama DOG DAY AFTERNOON, written by Pulitzer Prize winner Stephen Adly Guirgis.

I'm often a very positive person, being able to see the silver lining of every situation, and do not like to admit or submit to hardships in my life. But to be completely honest, 2016 has been a difficult year. As life can be tumultuous sometimes, it can also be magnificent. Alas, here we are, at the conclusion of our year, and I thought I'd do a little 'Year In Review' of my 2016.

The Vagabond Theatre Company of Greater Bridgeport announces their cast for the second production of their Inaugural Season: Stephen Adly Guirgis' dark comedy, The Last Days Of Judas Iscariot, directed by Mat Young.

In a first for Ragged Wing Ensemble, the 12-year-old physical theater company has announced a world premiere collaboration with the other resident companies of The Flight Deck, a multidisciplinary arts center it founded in the heart of downtown Oakland. With contributions by Ragged Wing, Gritty CityRepertory Youth Theatre, Theatre Aluminous, The Lower Bottom Playaz, and an original musical score by Oakland-based artist Kev Choice, OVERNIGHT is a play about the sudden appearance of a high-rise building in what had been a parking lot only the day before. Overnight opens in previews on March 31 and runs through April 22, 2017. Opening night is scheduled for Friday, April 7 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 - $45, and may be purchased online at raggedwing.org/overnight.

Goodman Theatre Artistic Director Robert Falls announced today that his longtime creative collaborator, Artistic Associate and Producer Steve Scott, will direct the theater's production of Eugene O'Neill's Ah, Wilderness! this spring. Scott assumes this responsibility from Falls, who was originally announced as the production's director.

Last year, Miller Theatre inaugurated a new holiday season tradition: Carnival of the Animals, in a surreally playful production designed and directed by Lake Simons.
