Hip-hop duo Atmosphere will take the stage at Mandalay Bay Beach this summer in a special one-night performance on Friday, August 24 as part of Mandalay Bay's Concerts on the Beach 2018 summer lineup sponsored by Coors Light and Pepsi. The group will be joined by Samoan reggae singer J Boog. Tickets go on sale this Friday, June 29 at 10 a.m.

The 2018 BET Awards took place Sunday at Los Angeles' Microsoft Theater, Kendrick Lamar taking home to most prizes, for best male hip hop artist and album of the year for “DAMN.” Beyonce was crowned the best female R&B/pop artist, and Cardi B won for best female hip hop artist. Anita Baker received the lifetime achievement award.

Kali Uchis confirms a North American headline tour today, with dates kicking off Thursday, September 13 in Seattle and further stops in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Austin, Philadelphia, Boston and beyond. The tour is Uchis' first since the release of her massively critically acclaimed debut album Isolation, and follows much-lauded sets at Coachella, Governors Ball and Bonnaroo.

YouTube announced that it has acquired the highly-anticipated music documentary G FUNK, which recounts the untold story of hip-hop's most iconic subgenre through its pioneer, Warren G. G FUNK explores the sound's origination and lasting impact on music and culture. The film also chronicles Warren G's journey with Snoop Dogg and Nate Dogg during the early 90s, as they rose to international fame while he returned to Long Beach, California without a record deal. The G FUNK documentary will premiere exclusively on YouTube Premium on July 11, 2018.

Mayor Steven M. Fulop presents his fifth annual July 4th festival on the Hudson Waterfront to celebrate Independence Day. The carnival-style spectacle, branded 50STAR FIRESHOW, spans the entire Greater New York City Area and will feature a headline concert performance by Snoop Dogg on the Private Internet Access stage in front of a 200,000 person audience lining the Hudson River Waterfront and area surrounding Harborside. The all-day music, food, technology and entertainment experience boasts views of the New York City skyline, and will become the scene of the state's largest fireworks show.

A few years ago BICK/ANTZIS created a YouTube video called Settle This Thing in order to have the Internet provide a solution to an ongoing argument they couldn't resolve on their own. Tamara Bick and Drew Antzis each laid out their argument and told viewers, "Vote for who you agree with and we'll live with the results." After a week the married couple tallied the votes and had a winner. Argument solved! "It's crowd sourcing to solve our fights," says Antzis, "and it worked!" The web series Settle This Thing was born.
