RLJE Films will release the horror film TRENCH 11 on VOD, Digital and DVD on September 4, 2018.  Directed by Leo Scherman (Never Forget) who co-wrote the film with Matthew Booi (“Wild Things with Dominic Monaghan”), TRENCH 11 stars Rossif Sutherland (River), Robert Stadlober (Enemy of the Gates), and Charlie Carrick (The Devout). TRENCH 11 will be available on DVD for an SRP of $27.97.

Chris Pine and Chris Hemsworth were in negotiations to star in Star Trek 4, but according to The Hollywood Reporter, the talks between the two actors and Paramount Pictures and Skydance Media, have fallen apart.

Julia Garner ('Ozark') and Juno Temple ('Vinyl,' 'Wonder Wheel,' 'Black Mass') have joined the cast of Bravo Media's 'Dirty John' as the daughters of Debra Newell (Connie Britton), who are both skeptical about their mother's relationship with John Meehan (Eric Bana). Joining the previously announced Jean Smart who will play Debra's mother Arlane, Garner will star as Terra Newell, while Temple will star as Veronica Newell. The scripted anthology series, based on the articles and breakout true crime podcast of the same name from Los Angeles Times reporter Christopher Goffard, tells the true story of how Debra's romance with the charismatic John Meehan spiraled into secrets, denial and manipulation.

Birmingham Stage Company today announces the return of their smash-hit adaptation of David Walliams's bestselling book, Gangsta Granny, to the West End. The Olivier Award and UK Theatre Award nominated production opens at the Harold Pinter Theatre for a limited two week run, opening on 16 August, with previews from 14 August, and running until 26 August. Tickets go on sale today via ATG pre-sale and general on-sale on 3 May.

RLJE Films, a brand of RLJ Entertainment (NASDAQ: RLJE), has acquired all North American rights to the horror film Housewife. Directed by Can Evrenol (Baskin), who also co-wrote the film with Cem Özüduru, the film stars Clementine Poidatz (Shut-In) and David Sakurai (Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald). RLJE Films plans to release the film in the fall of 2018.

Simon Pegg appeared on last night's Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Pegg anticipates that, unlike the science fiction movies that overestimate the technology of future generations (think flying cars), 'Ready Player One' might have nailed its prediction of virtual reality in the year 2044. According to Deadline, Margot Robbie and her LuckyChap Entertainment (I, Tonya) is partnering with the Australian Broadcasting Company, Aussie production company Hoodlum (Secrets & Lies) and ABC Studios International on a new ten-part series, retelling the work of Shakespeare from female perspectives. The project, currently in development, will be produced in Australia, with filming expected to begin in 2018.
