Signature Theatre presents NIGHT IS A ROOM, written by Residency One playwright Naomi Wallace and directed by Bill Rauch. NIGHT IS A ROOM, the third and final production of Wallace's residency, runs now through December 20, 2015 with a Sunday, November 22 opening night in The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). Signature Theatre just announced a second one-week extension for INCIDENT AT VICHY, by Arthur Miller and directed by Michael Wilson, due to its sold-out run. INCIDENT AT VICHY will now play through Sunday, December 20, 2015. The production opens Sunday, November 15 in The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues).

Veteran star of stage and screen Richard Kind, Tony Award winner Adriane Lenox (Doubt) will join Edie Falco, a multiple Emmy Award winner for her leading roles in The Sopranos and Nurse Jackie, and Grant Shaud, well known to many as Miles on Murphy Brown, have signed on for George Street Playhouse's special reading of Matt Hoverman's new play, THRILLSVILLE.

BroadwayWorld is excited to report initial casting for The Public Theater's New York premiere of HEAD OF PASSES, written by Tarell Alvin McCraney and directed by Tina Landau. Phylicia Rashad returns to The Public to play 'Shelah' in this deeply moving new drama about family, acceptance, and the power of faith. Rashad last appeared at The Public in THE STORY by Tracey Scott Wilson in 2003. HEAD OF PASSES begins previews on Tuesday, March 15 in the Newman Theater with an official press opening on Monday, March 28.

Theatre luminaries will gather on Monday, November 16, 2015, to honor Branden Jacobs-Jenkins and Dominique Morisseau at the 2015 Steinberg Playwright Awards, presented by The Harold and Mimi Steinberg Charitable Trust. Scenes highlighting their previous and new work will be presented at the 8th Annual 'Mimi' Awards, which will take place at Lincoln Center Theater's Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater.

Performances begin at the Royal George, 1641 N. Halsted Street, on Friday, December 11th, 2015 and continue through Sunday, January 3rd, 2016 with a press opening on Sunday, December 13th at 3:00 p.m. A special New Year's Eve performance includes a champagne and dessert reception with the artists.

BroadwayWorld has just learned that Adam Halpin (Broadway's GLORY DAYS, RENT Natl. Tour) will star in the new musical Daddy Long Legs, alongside his wife Megan McGinnis (Broadway's LES MISERABLES, SIDE SHOW, LITTLE WOMEN). Halpin, recently seen in another two-person musical THE LAST FIVE YEARS at Long Wharf Theatre, will assume the role on November 20th.

MCC Theater presents the New York premiere of John Pollono's LOST GIRLS. The production is directed by Jo Bonney who last collaborated with playwright John Pollono on MCC's critically acclaimed production of Small Engine Repair. LOST GIRLS opens tonight, November 9. It is scheduled through November 29, 2015.

The Fountain Theatrecontinues its 15-year relationship with master playwright Athol Fugard, presenting the West Coast premiere of his newest play. Directed by Simon Levy, The Painted Rocks at Revolver Creek opens on November 7 at the Fountain Theatre in Hollywood.

SHE GON' LEARN, a one-woman show written by actress and producer Lisa Strum, can be seen in an encore performance during the United Solo Festival on Saturday, November 14, 2015, 7:30pm at Theatre Row: 410 West 42nd Street.
