Georgia Ensemble Theatre (GET), North Fulton's only professional theatre company, opens its 24th Season with the Southeastern premiere of Ghost The Musical at the Theatre's home in the Roswell Cultural Arts Center. The Weird Sisters are passing the wand to the next batch of Atlanta's finest, up-and-coming female producers After 5 years of critical acclaim and sold-out shows, the original producers/founding members of The Weird Sisters Theatre Project are passing the wand to the next exciting, up-and-coming group of power-house female artists. The producing team that brought you such gems as Anton in Show Business, Five Lesbians Eating a Quiche, Emilie: La Marquise du Chatelet Defends Her Life Tonight, and last summer's world premiere comedy Hot Pink, or Ready to Blow, are stepping down from their roles as producers. In the vein of the company's mission to foster and cultivate opportunities for women in the arts with a commitment to producing works by women for everyone, they are excited to bequeath their power and responsibilities to the next outstanding producing team. The Founders (Kelly Criss, Veronika Duerr, Jaclyn Hofmann, Megan Rose Houchins, and Tiffany Porter) will stay on as Board Members and avid supporters!

Serenbe Playhouse's Miss Saigon is crushing box office records and winning praise from critics and audiences alike.

Serenbe Playhouse, recipient of the prestigious American Theatre Wing grant (2015), presents the fourth show in its 2016 season, Miss Saigon, with music by Claude- Michel Schonberg; lyrics by Richard Maltby, Jr., and Alain Boublil; adapted from the original French lyrics by Alain Boublil. The show is directed by Brian Clowdus, music direction is by Chris Brent Davis, and choreography is by Bubba Carr. The show opened on July 21 and has already been extended to August 14. For the first time ever presented by a professional Atlanta theatre company, Serenbe Playhouse and its design team have recreated the lush wilderness of Vietnam, complete with an actual Vietnam-flown Huey helicopter landing nightly in the Wildflower Meadow at Serenbe.

Finalist for the 2013 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and Time Magazine's number one Play or Musical of 2012, 4000 Miles rolls into Lawrenceville's Aurora Theatre, February 12 - March 1, 2015! Dynamic writer Amy Herzog uses her own feisty grandmother's experiences and stories to shape the character of elderly Vera in this altogether sensitive and comical story. Audiences are invited to take a trip to New York City's Greenwich Village and experience the implausible, yet beautiful relationship of two characters, as they embark on a journey to find their place in today's world.

The Brand Signature Series concludes Aurora Theatre's 18th season with the hysterical Don't Dress for Dinner by Marc Camoletti. The show runs May 1-25, 2014. In this this hilarious romp through the French countryside, Bernard concocts a romantic rendezvous with his mistress with an alibi courtesy of his friend, Robert. But Bernard's wife decides on a surprise tryst of her own. With a gourmet cook and a randy mistress-both named Suzy-a wacky collision course of mistaken identity and outrageous infidelity ensues. By the author of Aurora's 2010 hit Boeing-Boeing.

The University of Georgia's production of Anton Chekhov's THREE SISTERS opens tomorrow, October 9, and runs through Sunday, October 14, at the Cellar Theater in the Fine Arts Building. See below for promo shots!
