BARKING IN ESSEX Announces Sunday Performances & Christmas Schedule

Sunday performances have been added to the BARKING IN ESSEX schedule, with the first one on Sunday 17 November. There will now be a 3pm performance each Sunday through to Sunday 22 December. The new performance schedule from Saturday 9 November will be Tuesdays to Saturdays at 7.30pm, Thursdays and Saturdays at 2.30pm and Sundays at 3.00pm.

Following a sold-out run at The Pleasance Theatre London in 2012, HAPPY NEVER AFTER will play at this year's Edinburgh Fringe Festival it was announced today. A new play by Hannah Rodger, HAPPY NEVER AFTER will run at The Pleasance Courtyard from Wednesday 31 July - Monday 26 August 2013. Full listings attached.

Lee Evans stole the show tonight, Sunday 28 April, when he presented the 2013 Olivier Award for Best Director to Marianne Elliott. Before Ms Elliott had a chance to accept the award, Lee ate his way through it, creating great hilarity in the audience at the Royal Opera House. The specially made cake replicating the famous statuette of Laurence Olivier was created by Fat Cakes owner, Mia Tambini, a contemporary cake maker based in East Sussex. James Quaife Receives £50,000 Grant From Stage One

Stage One, the charity that supports new UK theatre producers and productions, has just announced the latest recipient to receive its Start-Up Investment Fund. James Quaife has been awarded £50,000 by the charity to co-produce alongside established producers MJE Productions, a new comedy, Barking in Essex by Clive Exton. The production will open at London's Wyndham Theatre on the 6th September 2013 and will star Lee Evans, Sheila Hancock and Keeley Hawes.
