The Smith Center for the Performing Arts is proud to announce its Broadway Las Vegas series as part of the inaugural season for this long-awaited performing arts center. This series will feature the best and brightest of Broadway, bringing full-length versions of THE COLOR PURPLE, Disney and Cameron Mackintosh's MARY POPPINS, MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET and MEMPHIS to the stage in Las Vegas. These exceptional shows join the ranks of the previously announced WICKED, which will open The Smith Center's first full-length season in August of 2012.

The 2010 Tony winning Best Musical MEMPHIS recently announced a partnership with The Great Atlantic Pacific & Tea Company (A&P) to raise money for New York-area Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Beginning July 4, 2011, customers at all A&P, Pathmark, Food Emporium, Waldbaum's, Food Basics, Super Fresh and Best Cellars stores will be asked to make a donation to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals at the register. Those who donate will also receive a special discount offer for tickets to MEMPHIS on Broadway. The promotion will run through the end of July in more than 360 stores along the eastern seaboard.

Broadway's hit musical comedy THE ADDAMS FAMILY welcomes stage and screen star Brooke Shields in the role of Morticia beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, June 28 at the Lunt Fontanne Theatre. The hit musical will surpass Abie's Irish Rose with 2,328 performances, becoming the 26th longest-running Broadway show following the performance tomorrow night, Saturday, June 25, and JERSEY BOYS will surpass Man of La Mancha with 2,329 performances, becoming the 25th longest-running Broadway show following the performance on Sunday, June 26.
