GMA to Broadcast from Times Square's Super Bowl Boulevard this Week

ABC News' “Good Morning America” will be broadcasting live from Super Bowl Boulevard, which runs through our backyard in the heart of Times Square, beginning Monday, January 27th as the countdown to Super Bowl XLVIII begins. All week long, GMA's Super Bowl Boulevard Blowout will be packed with special guests, the best recipes for game day cooking, NFL All Star players, the iconic Budweiser Clydesdales, plus a few surprises. Even the coveted Vince Lombardi Trophy will be right outside our studio.

Roundabout Theatre Company's production of Machinal, starring Rebecca Hall, written by Sophie Treadwell and directed by Lyndsey Turner, began previews on December 20 and opened on January 16, 2014 at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway. Machinal is a limited engagement through March 2.

Today in 2010, A View From the Bridge opened at the Cort Theatre, where it ran for 81 performances. Written by American playwright Arthur Miller, the show was first staged on September 29, 1955 as a one-act verse drama with A Memory of Two Mondays at the Coronet Theatre on Broadway. The play is set in 1950s America, in an Italian American neighborhood near the Brooklyn Bridge in New York. It employs both a chorus and a narrator (Alfieri). Eddie, the tragic protagonist, has an improper love of, and almost obsession with, Catherine. The 2010 revival starred Liev Schreiber, Scarlett Johansson and Jessica Hecht.

Johansson, a Tony winner and four-time Golden Globe nominee, will become the face of a new marketing campaign for the world's leading home carbonation system. The multi-year partnership will kick-off when SodaStream premieres its first ad featuring Johansson during Super Bowl XLVIII on Sunday, February 2, 2014.

The Austin Film Critics Association announced its 2013 awards today, with Spike Jonze's futuristic feature “Her” winning Best Film as well as two other awards, and leading the group's Top Ten list. “Gravity” and “12 Years a Slave” also won multiple awards this year.

The Detroit Film Critics Society is pleased to announce the best of 2013 in ten categories. The society was founded in Spring 2007 and consists of a group of twenty Michigan film critics who write or broadcast in the Detroit area as well as other major cities within a 150-mile radius of the city including Ann Arbor, Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Lansing, and Flint, Michigan.

Canongate has acquired The Book of Strange New Things, a new novel from Michel Faber. It is his first in more than a decade, since the publication of the hugely-acclaimed international bestseller, The Crimson Petal and the White international bestseller The Crimson Petal and the White. Francis Bickmore, Canongate's Publishing Director acquired world rights direct from the author.
