When it comes to Cabaret, I hardly know where to begin. This musical has been a part of my life for twenty years, and it's probably impossible to fully describe how important it has been to me personally and to this theatre.

We dug through our archives to unveil the history our 1998 revival of Cabaret. Take a look through the years as we trace back to the first preview of our multi award-winning production.

The Old Vic today announced its programme for Summer/Autumn 2014. The CQS Space, The Old Vic in the round, will be home to the whole season of productions, continuing after Other Desert Cities which opens this month. The plays will be performed in the round, a transformation of The Old Vic's auditorium first seen for the award-winning 2008 production of The Norman Conquests. The world premiere production of the brand new musical comedy Bullets Over Broadway, written by Woody Allen and based on the screenplay by Allen and Douglas McGrath for the 1994 film, will begin preview performances tomorrow, March 11 and officially open Thursday, April 10, 2014 at The St. James Theatre (246 West 44th Street). Amphibian Stage Productions today announced additional National Theatre Live screenings for 2014, presented in association with the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. To bring a second life to an undiscovered gem, Termination Productions LLC will present 'The Head Hunter,' a dramatic encounter between a screenwriter and his mobster cousin, at The Producers Club Theaters April 11 to May 4, 2014. The play is written by Mark Borkowski, a New York-based playwright, screenwriter and actor who is now best known for playing Paul Sagorsky in the third and fourth seasons of HBO's Boardwalk Empire. Richard Hymes-Esposito (www.richardhymes.com) directs. It is the first revival of a horrific yet hilarious two-hander that Backstage (Elias Stimac) labeled 'one of the best plays of 2000' when it debuted that year.

Barry James, Josefina Gabrielle, Richard Dempsey and Kirsty Malpass will join the previously announced Alex Jennings (Willy Wonka) in the cast of the record-breaking West End production of Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

The Public Theater will begin previews for the New York premiere of A SECOND CHANCE on Tuesday, March 18. Directed by Jonathan Butterell with book, music, and lyrics by Ted Shen, this new musical will run through Sunday, April 13 in the Shiva Theater, with an official press opening on Sunday, March 30.
