Philadelphia Theatre Company will present PTC@Play, a two-week festival of new work on February 2-March 11 at PTC's home at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre (Broad and Lombard Streets).

Larry Josephson has been making trouble on the radio since 1966, starting as WBAI's infamous grumpy morning man. The competition, John Gambling and his ilk, were pushing oleaginous treacle on morning radio. Larry broke all the rules of radio: he ate his breakfast on the air, insulted listeners at a time when Howard Stern was crawling around Levittown in leather diapers. He told the story of his life on the radio, or as much as the FCC and the libel laws would allow.

January 2011 Programs & Exhibitions Announced For at N-Y Historical Society

he New-York Historical Society has begun construction on its Central Park West facade and new permanent galleries. In November 2011, the Society will reopen with new, path-breaking exhibitions, permanent installations, and galleries for visitors of all ages; a new "destination" film on New York and the nation by acclaimed filmmaker Donna Lawrence; and a new cafe/restaurant.

The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Opera Honors awards ceremony and concert was held on Friday, October 22, at 7:30 p.m. at the Kennedy Center Opera House, Washington D.C. This year's honorees-soprano Martina Arroyo, general director David DiChiera, composer Philip Glass and music director Eve Queler-were acknowledged for their exceptional contributions to opera in America. Produced in cooperation with Washington National Opera and OPERA America, the NEA Opera Honors awards ceremony and concert was free and open to the public; approximately 2,000 people attended the event.
