Breakfast With Mugabe, Fraser Grace's award-winning and critically acclaimed drama, currently in a limited run engagement at The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at the Pershing Square Signature Center, announces the addition of a performance tonight, October 6th at 7:30pm, to benefit the Actors Fund.

Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) announced today the release ofChicago Shakespeare Theater: Suiting the Action to the Word, a collection of original essays that furthers the study of William Shakespeare in performance and stagecraft through the exploration of the Theater's first twenty-five years. Respected scholars, artists and theater critics view Shakespeare through the lens of the theater's artistry, bringing together professional observations and scholarly examinations of CST Artistic Director Barbara Gaines's productions as well as collaborations with world-renowned directors who have worked at CST, including Michael Bogdanov(The Winter's Tale - 2003); Edward Hall (Rose Rage: Henry VI, Parts 1, 2, and 3 - 2004) and Josie Rourke (The Taming of the Shrew - 2010).

Cake Productions and The New Ateh Theater Group present Moliere's The Learned Ladies, translated and adapted by Freyda Thomas. Paul Urcioli directs an all-female cast of eleven, including Kathryn Alexander, Sarah Brill, Francesca Day, Janna Emig, Susan Finch*, Katie Honaker*, Marta Kuersten, Madeleine Maby*, Sara Montgomery, Elizabeth Neptune, and Elena Sanz. $25 on-stage seating for the critically acclaimed Shakespeare's Globe productions of TWELFTH NIGHT and RICHARD III is now on sale online at Telecharge.com and at the Belasco Theatre box office (111 West 44th Street). Theatergoers who choose the on-stage seating will have an up close and personal experience with the productions, including close proximity to the exciting pre-show ritual of actors getting dressed on stage. The onstage seats are located on the upper tier of the onstage boxes. There are limited numbers of the $25 on-stage seats for every performance

The winner of the fifth Papatango New Writing Prize, in its third year in partnership with the Finborough Theatre, is Unscorched by first time playwright Luke Owen. It will be directed by Justin Audibert, former Resident Director at the National Theatre Studio, and will receive a four week run at the Finborough Theatre, opening on Tuesday, 29 October 2013 (Press Night: Thursday 31 October 2013 at 7.30pm).

In a production commissioned by the Finborough Theatre, Anders Lustgarten's Black Jesus receives its world premiere at the Finborough Theatre, playing for a four week season from tonight, 1 October 2013 (Press Night: Thursday, 3 October 2013 at 7.30pm). A sold-out workshop production of Black Jesus at the Harare International Festival of Arts, Zimbabwe, was described by the Guardian as 'a highlight of the festival'.

The Fu Manchu Complex, a play by Daniel York, will premiere at Ovalhouse today, 1 - 19 October 2013. Directed by Justin Audibert (Artistic Associate of HighTide and Associate of Told By An Idiot), this new work centres on the eponymous character in Sax Rohmer's Fu Manchu novels, the first of which was published 100 years ago in 1913.

Richard Eyre has adapted and will direct Ibsen's Ghosts, running at the Almeida Theatre now through 23 November 2013, with Press Night on 3 October. Designs are by Tim Hatley with lighting by Peter Mumford and sound by John Leonard. The full cast is Lesley Manville (Helene Alving), Brian McCardie (Jacob Engstrand) Charlene McKenna (Regina Engstrand), Jack Lowden (Oswald Alving) and Will Keen (Pastor Manders). Macbeth performed in a Cardiff Shopping Centre, Much Ado About Nothing performed by serving members of the Royal Air Force, The Tempest in a quarry in Durham, and Richard III performed in Leicester Cathedral by Leicester University students where the King's newly discovered body will be buried, are just four of the 90 productions that will be part of the UK's biggest amateur theatre project - Open Stages.

Organisers of the Autism & Theatre - Inspiration Day 2013 on Monday 2 September at the Lyceum Theatre, London, attended by over 170 delegates from theatres and arts organisations across the UK, have reported the event to be a huge success.

The Theatre School at DePaul University proudly presents HANSEL & GRETEL, by Moses Goldberg and directed by Ann Wakefield, as the first production of the 2013-2014 Chicago Playworks for Families and Young Audiences Series. This production opens Saturday, October 12, and runs through Saturday, November 16, 2013, at DePaul's historic Merle Reskin Theatre. Performances are Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 10 AM, and Saturdays at 2 PM. A special Sunday performance (2 PM) will be held on October 27. There will be no Saturday performance on October 26. Friday performances are on November 1 and 15(10 AM).

The Dallas Opera has announced the opening production of their 2013-2014 “By Love Transformed” Season: Georges Bizet's colorful, sensual and passionate 19th century masterpiece, CARMEN, one of the most beloved and popular works in the entire opera canon.

Thrillpeddlers announces their annual Halloween Extravaganza Shocktoberfest 14: Jack the Ripper - An Evening of Horror, Madness, Spanking and Song Commemorating the 125th Anniversary of the Jack The Ripper Murders in London. Thrillpeddlers presents its 4th and final preview performance of Shocktoberfest 14 on Sept. 30, the very date that police received the letter that coined the name 'Jack the Ripper' and the case's double-murder occurred.

Jack Lowden and Will Keen join Lesley Manville in Richard Eyre's production of Ghosts at The Almeida Theatre. Eyre returns to The Almeida Theatre to adapt and direct Ibsen's Ghosts. Ghosts will run from tonight, 26 September - 23 November 2013, with Press Night on 3 October.
