Young People's Theatre (YPT) welcomes back the exuberantly physical DynamO Theatre with a unique take on Shakespeare's timeless classic. What If Romeo & Juliet… explores how Romeo & Juliet might have ended differently. Would alternative choices have altered the fatal outcomes of rivalry and prejudice? What if Romeo & Juliet… will be presented on the Mainstage from October 10th to 19th.
SC Shakespeare Reaches Student Matinee Education Program Goal

Santa Cruz Shakespeare is preparing to receive schools from Santa Cruz, Aromas and Pajaro Valley to Campbell Unified and Monterey County for their new education program Student Matinee Week premiering after the 2018 Summer Season. Our professional production of Romeo & Juliet will remain open for four student-only matinee performances running through September 4-7. These 10am matinees are for students and their chaperones only, and include a post-show discussion with the actors after each performance.

Boston Ballet Announces Mischa Santora as New Music Director

Boston Ballet is pleased to announce that Mischa Santora has been appointed the new music director. Most recently, Santora was the artistic director of the Spotlight Series at MacPhail Center for Music and the Minneapolis Music Company. He guest conducted for seven Boston Ballet performances of John Cranko's Romeo & Juliet last season and will conduct for the first time in his new role for Mikko Nissinen's The Nutcracker, which opens on Nov 29, 2018 at the Boston Opera House.

Ever since it was announced that iconic director Stephen Spielberg would be helming a remake of the musical classic WEST SIDE STORY, speculation has run rampant attempting to dreamcast the star-crossed lovers at the center of the story. In March, Tony winner Ben Platt shared his audition video to play Tony, and now a New York radio host is reporting that former star of pop group Fifth Harmony, Camila Cabello will soon officially be announced for the role of Maria.

BEDLAM announces the new production of UNCLE ROMEO VANYA JULIET. This new theatrical mashup of ROMEO & JULIET and UNCLE VANYA will kick off Bedlam's 2018/2019 season instead of the previously announced ROMEO & JULIET and UNCLE VANYA in repertory.
