Arnold Lobel's beloved characters hop from page to stage today, February 13 and February 20 as The Arts Center of Cannon County presented A Year With Frog and Toad, the Tony Award-nominated musical with book and lyrics by Willie Reale and music by Robert Reale.

As part of its 20th season, Company of Fools (COF) is delighted to bring the valley's two favorite amphibians home for the holidays-FROG & TOAD! Last performed in 2010, our community has sent a constant plea to share this favorite with a new generation of children. This smash-hit Broadway musical, A Year with Frog and Toad, with music by Robert Reale, book and lyrics by Willie Reale and developed by Adrianne Lobel, runs tonight, December 16-January 3, 2010, at the Liberty Theatre in Hailey.

All in all, this is a fun show for everyone, especially during this holiday season as we reflect upon those we love.

Palo Alto Payers, the Peninsula's first theatre company, presents CHICAGO, a brilliant musical satire that brings you the razzle­dazzle music of vaudeville, show­stopping dance numbers - and all that jazz! Written by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, with music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, and based on the play by Maurine Dallas Watkins, CHICAGO is the winner of six Tony Awards. CHICAGO will play for 11 performances, tonight, September 11, through September 27, 2015 at the Lucie Stern Theater located at 1305 Middlefield Road in Palo Alto.

South Coast Repertory will present ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS, VIETGONE, ABUNDANCE, and more for the four-month period of September through December 2015.

The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University, under the leadership of Artistic Director Diane Paulus, began rehearsals today (pictured, left) for the world premiere musical Waitress. Based on the motion picture written by Adrienne Shelly the new musical has a book by Jessie Nelson, music and lyrics by Sara Bareilles, direction by Diane Paulus, and choreography by Chase Brock.

Based on the Frog and Toad books by Arnold Lobel with music by Robert Reale, book and lyrics by his brother Willie Reale.

Second Stage Theatre has announced two New York Premiere productions for its upcoming 37th season.  The season will kick off in fall 2015 with the New York Premiere production of Matt Gould and Griffin Matthews' new musical, INVISIBLE THREAD (previously titled Witness Uganda), in association with American Repertory Theater, directed by Tony Award winner Diane Paulus (Finding Neverland, Pippin).  The season will continue in early 2016 with the New York premiere of Lydia R. Diamond's (Stick Fly) critically acclaimed play, SMART PEOPLE, directed by Tony Award Winner Kenny Leon (Fences, A Raisin in the Sun, Stick Fly). Two additional productions remain to be announced. 

Broadway Training Center of Westchester presents A Year with Frog and Toad, with Music by Robert Reale and Book & Lyrics by Willie Reale, based on the book series by Arnold Lobel. The show will play Irvington Town Hall Theater, this weekend, May 1-3, directed by Jason Brantman and Fiona Santos and performed by the BTC Junior Ensemble.
