One of this year's most highly anticipated television films, WHITNEY, airs tomorrow, Saturday, January 17 at 8 PM EST/7 PM CST, on Lifetime. The film details the extraordinary life of Whitney Houston and her turbulent marriage to singer Bobby Brown. The story is told through the vision of Golden Globe Award winner and Academy Award nominee Angela Bassett, in her directorial debut.

Executive produced by Jerry Weintraub, Roberto Benabib and Jay Roach, and created by Roberto Benabib and Kim Benabib, the epic dark comedy series THE BRINK focuses on a geopolitical crisis and its effect on three disparate, desperate men. Linchpin Theatre will produce The Nina Variations by Steven Dietz this summer. Linchpin's David Fehr and Kathryn Bartholomew are featured in Dietz's tribute to the characters 'Nina' and 'Treplev' from Anton Chekhov's The Seagull. The Nina Variations explores the synchronicity and dissonance revealed when the two lovers feel compelled to say the things left unsaid.

The Producers Guild of America (PGA) announced today the motion picture and long-form television nominations for the 23rd Annual Producers Guild Awards. The categories include: The Darryl F. Zanuck Producer of the Year Award in Theatrical Motion Pictures; The Producers Guild of America Producer of the Year Award in Animated Theatrical Motion Pictures; and The David L. Wolper Producer of the Year Award in Long-Form Television. The documentary film category and other television category nominations were already announced by the Guild in December 2011.

Metropolitan Opera Radio on Sirius XM (Channel 74) will celebrate the 40th anniversary of James Levine's Metropolitan Opera debut with a full week of Levine performances. Fifteen historic performances, three of which join the archival rotation on Sirius XM for the first time, will air in rotation for an entire week, beginning May 30 and ending June 5. The broadcasts will be introduced by Levine and other artists, some of whom will also pay tribute to the Met Music Director's extraordinary career in special segments between operas.
