The Broadway premiere of the new musical Dear Evan Hansen has found a new home: it will officially open at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th St), and not at the Belasco Theatre, as previously announced.

Broadway's top musical artists are set to appear on tonight's (June 21st) telecast of 'Maya & Marty' on NBC to perform 'What the World Needs Now Is Love,' an updated version of the classic Burt Bacharach/Hal David song that is helping to support the devastated LGBT community of Orlando, Fla. A slew of stage vets rehearsed the song earlier today, and Seth Rudetsky captured a sneak preview.

Producer Stacey Mindich has announced that tickets for the highly anticipated Broadway premiere of the original musical Dear Evan Hansen will go on sale this Sunday, June 19 at 9 AM via Telecharge.com. The musical begins previews on Monday, November 14, 2016 and will officially open at the Belasco Theatre (111 West 44th Street) on Sunday, December 4, 2016.

Offering a first look at the year ahead in independent film, culture and new ideas, Sundance Institute announced today the 65 films selected for the U.S. Competition, World Competition and out-of-competition NEXT category set to premiere at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival, January 21-31 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden and Sundance, Utah. Back in June, following the explosive and well-received Actors Fund benefit that featured the music of 'Bombshell' from the NBC television series 'Smash,' Universal Stage Productions announced plans to begin development on 'Bombshell' as a musical for the stage. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, producing duo Craig Zadan and Neil Meron revealed that it won't be much longer until work on the project begins.

Felt, founder and President of San Francisco Performances--one of the country's most respected performing arts presenting organizations--has announced that she will retire from the nonprofit she created and has led for 36 years in the fall of 2016. Ms. Felt, who is 76, makes this announcement at a time when San Francisco Performances is at a particularly strong place artistically, administratively and financially and with artists and programming details already in place for two upcoming seasons, according to Patrick McCabe, Chair of the Board of Trustees. Since 1980 San Francisco Performances annually has presented the world's leading artists in genres and series including vocal music, piano, chamber music, jazz, guitar, contemporary dance, young masters, virtuosi and special events. Hallmarks of the organization, considered a national leader in the field, include presentation of top-name performers in intimate venues including the Herbst Theatre, an award-winning education program, long-standing annual relationships with artists and artists-in-residence and support of in-depth, thematic programming that fosters artists and audiences to explore ideas and ideals behind the creative spirit.
