National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene (NYTF) will launch its Fall extension of the critically-acclaimed Yiddish language production of Fiddler on the Roof, playing at the Museum of Jewish Heritage (MJH) at Edmond J. Safra Plaza, 36 Battery Place, by dedicating its Monday, September 3rd 7pm performance to the memory of its longtime friend and collaborator Theodore Bikel.

REVOLUTION Comes to West Cape May Elementary School

Spies, intrigue, tea thrown overboard, and how General Washington spent the winter of 1778 - it's all part of 'Revolution!,' a compilation of nine short plays written by fifth and sixth graders under the guidance of their teacher, Ms. Calabro at West Cape May Elementary School, and Gayle Stahlhuth, artistic director of East Lynne Theater Company (ELTC). On Wednesday, March 15 at 5:30 p.m., the performance is open to the public, admission-free, at West Cape May Elementary School, 301 Moore Street, West Cape May.

During the winter, there are Murder Mystery Weekends at The Henry Sawyer Inn, touring shows on the road, and the New Jersey Theatre Alliance's (NJTA) 'Stages Festival' in March.

Tony Award-winners Chita Rivera and Karen Ziemba, Norman Norman Jewison, Academy Award-winning director of the 1971 film version of Fiddler on the Roof (Irving Thalberg Award Recipient), and Ambassador Ido Aharoni, Counsul General of Israel, have joined the lineup of Raising the Roof, an all-star benefit concert celebrating the 100th anniversary of The National Yiddish Theatre - Folksbiene, the 50th Anniversary of iconic American musical, Fiddler on the Roof, and the 90th birthday of its Pulitzer Prize- and Tony-winning lyricist, Sheldon Harnick, on Monday, June 9, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. at New York's The Town Hall (123 West 43rd Street).

ELTC to Offer Free Juggling Classes, 3/18

The award-winning Equity professional East Lynne Theater Company is hosting a free juggling class with James Rana on Tuesday, March 18 from 7:00p.m.-8:30p.m. His workshops have been so popular, that the company had to bring him back. Ages 8 on up are welcome, with or without juggling experience. Participants are asked to wear comfortable clothes, and juggling items will be provided. The workshop is held at The First Presbyterian Church of Cape May, 500 Hughes St., where ELTC is in residence.
