Today, July 2, the London Hilton hosted the O2 Silver Clef Awards 2010 in London, England. This is the 35th year of this annual charity award show that raises money for the Nordoff Robbins - a charity that helps the sick and disabled with music therapy. BMI will name preeminent production and songwriting team Gamble & Huff BMI Icons at its 57th annual Pop Awards, slated for Tuesday, May 19 at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles. Hosted by BMI President & CEO Del Bryant and BMI Vice President & General Manager, Writer/Publisher Relations, Los Angeles, Barbara Cane, the invitation-only event will also honor the songwriters and publishers of the past year's most-performed pop songs in the United States. The evening's commendations will culminate with an all-star musical tribute to Gamble & Huff.

The winners in the ninth annual Whatsonstage.com Theatregoers' Choice Awards, the only major UK theatre prize-giving decided by the public, were announced today (Sunday 15 February) at a glittering, star-studded evening at the Prince of Wales Theatre.

On December 26th and 27th, The Fab Faux will perform The Beatles' final three albums, Abbey Road, Let It Be and The White Album, in their entirety. Spread out over the course of two nights, the 'And, In The End...' concerts will recreate the final chapter in the legendary album output of The Beatles, and will offer fans a chance to hear songs performed live that The Beatles themselves never played in concert (the exception being part of Let It Be, which was performed on the 'rooftop' of Apple Corp, with spectators crowding the street, eventually forcing police to shut the whole operation down...).

According to What's On Stage, The Kinks' Ray Davies is confirmed for the lead in the world premiere of his musical Come Dancing, which will have a limited run from 24 September to 25 October 2008 at east London's Theatre Royal Stratford East.
