The spectacularly starry live celebration marking the 50th anniversary of acclaimed UK theatrical venue the National Theatre titled 50 YEARS ON STAGE is now available to view in full.

National Theatre: 50 Years on Stage will air on Great Performances, tonight, February 14 at 9 p.m., ET on PBS (check local listings).

The full cast is announced for the UK premiere of Jon Robin Baitz's acclaimed play, Other Desert Cities, opening at The Old Vic on Monday 24 March with previews from Thursday 13 March. Directed by Lindsay Posner, the new production will star Sinead Cusack, Peter Egan, Clare Higgins, Daniel Lapaine and Martha Plimpton.

Directed by Cannes & Venice film festival favorite, Peter Greenaway's Eisenstein cast includes Finnish actor Elmer Back in the title role, Mexican actor Luis Alberti in the role of his guide (Palomino Cañedo), South African actor Stelio Savante as Hunter S. When it comes to theatre in Houston, I find that Kim Tobin and Philip Lehl, Co-Executive Directors at Stark Naked Theatre Company, only program plays that everyone should see. Thus, when they announced Brian Friel's FAITH HEALER, a play I was unfamiliar with, I began to immerse myself in any scrap of material I could find about the play, knowing it was a show I ought to know. After catching the final preview performance earlier this week, I felt like the boat must have passed me by. Generally regarded as a masterpiece, Brian Friel's FAITH HEALER didn't impress me in the ways that it seemingly bowls everyone else over.
