MARY STUART at Folger Theatre is a must see production. As directed by Richard Clifford and featuring the dual leading ladies Kate Eastwood Norris and Holly Twyford, this is a show that catches lightning as only live theatre can do. This is not a documentary, however, it is vibrant, exciting, intriguing theatre presented by artists at the top of their game.

The OBIE Award-winning Theater:Village festival, which is presented by Axis Theatre, Cherry Lane Theatre, New Ohio Theatre, and Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, returns for its second year, September 4 - October 5. Following last year's The Hill Town Plays, which presented five works by the playwright Lucy Thurber, this year's festival, titled E Pluribus, will feature four new plays celebrating the diversity of America.

JEWISH PLAYS PROJECT and Artistic Director David Winitsky, are pleased to announce the exciting line-up of OPEN: The Festival of New Jewish Theatre. The festival officially opened Tuesday night with a special presentation of True Bible Studies by Robert Askins, directed by Benjamin Kamine as part of Into the Night: Downtown's Tikkun Leil Shavuot at The 14th Street Y. The line-up includes readings of new plays by Ben Gassman, Tom Block, M.J. Kaufman, Lenelle Moise, Lila Feinberg and the featured workshop production of G-d's Honest Truth by Renee Calarco, directed by David Winitsky.
OPEN: The Festival of New Jewish Theatre plays a limited engagement June 13th through June 29th, 2014 at The Theater at the 14th Street Y (344 East 14th Street, New York, NY 10003). San Jose Rep will leap into the spring season with the truly fresh, thought-provoking play Disconnect. Playwright Anupama Chandrasekhar, a former journalist, was prompted to write the play due to the sense of disconnect she experienced while in India - disconnect between two worlds, disconnect between what is real and not real, disconnect in human relationships, and disconnect in communication. Chandrasekhar will be traveling from India to San Jose Rep to attend the West Coast premiere of her successful play, as well as participating in the Rep's 'Insight Night' and other public speaking forums.
