Blue Note Entertainment Group has announced its first-annual NEW YORK BRASS AND HERITAGE FESTIVAL, a celebration of New Orleans music and culture January 7-12, 2014. Artists including THE REBIRTH BRASS BAND, THE BLIND BOYS OF ALABAMA, THE DIRTY DOZEN BRASS BAND, KELLER WILLIAMS AND THE TRAVELIN' MCCOURYS and more will take to the stage at Blue Note Jazz Club, B.B. King Blues Club & Grill, The Highline Ballroom, Lucille's Bar & Grill, and Drom, bringing a mix of New Orleans jazz-fusion, blues and brass for six nights of unforgettable Southern comfort.

The 125th Tournament of Roses Parade will air live from Pasadena, California on WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 1 (11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. 'Good Morning America' news anchor Josh Elliott and ESPN's Hannah Storm will co-host the network's live coverage. This year's parade will feature 45 floral floats in the theme of 'Dreams Come True.' The Grand Marshal will be famous sports broadcaster and The Voice of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Vin Scully.

Carnegie Hall today announced that conductor Michael Tilson Thomas has graciously agreed to step in for Yannick Nezet-Seguin, leading The Philadelphia Orchestra's performance in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage this Friday, December 6 at 7:30 p.m. Mr. Nezet-Seguin has cancelled this appearance as well as concerts this week in Philadelphia on medical advice that he not travel for the next few weeks due to sinus-related problems. Pianist Helene Grimaud is soloist for this performance; Brahms's Piano Concerto No. 1 will replace the previously-announced Brahms's Piano Concerto No. 2 at her request. The second half of the program, featuring Berlioz's Symphonie fantastique, remains as announced.
