This week's theme on DANCING WITH THE STARS was one of the most fitting themes the show's ever had: guilty pleasures.

HANSON perform their new song, 'Give a Little,' during the one-hour special, 'Dancing with the Stars: The Road to the Finals,' TUESDAY, APRIL 26 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET). Within the live hour, the remaining couples will look ahead, through live interviews and video, to what it will take for each of them to reach the finals. Past 'DWTS' celebrities and the judges will also provide their commentary on each couple.

After the great Pia Toscano debacle of 2011, last week's elimination of Paul McDonald was refreshing to say the least. Though I can't deny that I already miss his uncomfortably white teeth and the kooky way he pranced around the Idol stage, it was his time to go.

Last night was a night of high scores and personal bests for the DANCING WITH THE STARS celebrities, and also marked a few milestones for the show itself: the halfway point for this season, and the show's 1000th competitive dance. With all that in mind, it's no wonder that the contestants brought their A-game, and for many, the performance was the highlight of their season thus far.

To say that last week's American Idol elimination was a shocker is the understatement of the century. In fact, Pia Toscano's untimely departure from the show seems to have left a bad taste in the mouths of Idol fans everywhere, with Pia being the subject of talk show chats and internet gossip all week. I for one, won't cease missing watching her on a weekly basis anytime soon.
