'Unsung 2007: Tis the Season to Be Naughty' on Dec.10

The third annual production of 'Unsung: A Night of Original Songs by New and Established Composers' is back at Lucille Lortel Theater this December with a cast of fifteen young performers and five special guests, including Spring Awakening's Lea Michele and Xanadu's Marty Thomas. This year's edition, 'Tis the Season to Be Naughty - will once again be directed by Phillip George (Shout! A Mod Musical, Forbidden Broadway), with musical direction by Tracy Stark and Michael Rider.

On Tuesday, October 2nd, Gerard Alessandrini's Forbidden Broadway marked its 25th Anniversary with a brand-new edition Forbidden Broadway: Rude Awakening, at the 47th Street Theatre. To mark the occasion, Mayor Michael Bloomberg's Office of Theatre, Film and Television named October 2, 2007 as 'Forbidden Broadway Day.' Chita Rivera read a proclamation from Mayor Michael Bloomberg and unveiled a street sign renaming West 47th Street 'Forbidden Broadway.'

On Tuesday, October 2nd, Gerard Alessandrini's Forbidden Broadway marks its 25th Anniversary with a brand-new edition Forbidden Broadway: Rude Awakening, at the 47th Street Theatre (304 West 47 Street). At 6PM, prior to the opening night performance on October 2, two-time Tony Award winner (and beloved subject of Forbidden Broadway parodies) Chita Rivera will be on hand to read a proclamation from Mayor Michael Bloomberg and unveil a street sign renaming West 47th Street 'Forbidden Broadway.' Opening night curtain is at 7PM.
Forbidden Broadway: Rude Awakening Postpones Opening to 10/2

Forbidden Broadway: Rude Awakening, the 25th Anniversary edition of Gerard Alessandrini's long-running musical, has moved its opening night performance to Tuesday, October 2. The opening has been delayed a week to allow Alessandrini an additional week to add new material to the latest edition, which is currently in previews at the 47th Street Theatre.
