In light of the closure of theatres across the UK due to COVID-19, the Original Theatre Company's productions of Alan Bennett's THE HABIT OF ART and Ali Milles's THE CROFT, both of which were touring the UK, will now each have an online launch performance.

In light of the most recent government advice due to COVID-19, The Original Theatre Company's production of Alan Bennett's THE HABIT OF ART, which was due to open at Devonshire Park Theatre, Eastbourne on Wednesday 18 March 2020, will now perform a closed filmed performance on Wednesday 18 March 2020 at 2pm.

This spring, the Belgrade Theatre invites audiences to venture into a remote corner of the Scottish highlands in a spine-chilling new play by Ali Milles, showing from 15-18 April.

Ali Milles' new thriller The Croft follows two stories across multiple timelines that take place in a croft conversion in the west highlands of Scotland.

Ali Milles' THE CROFT opened at Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham on 22 January, and will continue to tour the UK until 18 April 2020.

A star-studded programme of headline shows is heading to Storyhouse this autumn, completing a fantastic year of live entertainment at the Chester venue.

Philip Franks' take on The Tempest is one of four productions playing in rep at the theatre over the summer (the others being Hamlet, Twelfth Night and Henry V). Franks builds on the magic and mystery at the heart of The Tempest in a production which takes a while to find its groove but is not without a healthy smattering of captivating moments.

More than 100,000 people have seen the show during the tour and there are no signs of this incredible cast slowing down. Strictly star Joanne Clifton, who has been delighting audiences and receiving rave reviews as Janet, will continue to don her corset and fishnets as she extends her role in the musical extravaganza for a further six months until the end of the 2019 tour. Joanne said: "I absolutely love playing Janet, so I'm delighted to continue with the show throughout the year".

Casting has been announced for the 2019 York company of SHAKESPEARE'S ROSE THEATRE, the award-winning pop-up Shakespearean Theatre, which makes a triumphant return to the foot of Clifford's Tower in York this summer with new productions of Hamlet, Henry V, The Tempest and Twelfth Night.
