Walnut Street Theatre continues its landmark 202nd season with an all-new production of Peter Shaffer's AMADEUS, winner of the 1981 Tony Award for Best Play and 1985 Academy Award for Best Picture. Directed by Malcolm Black, AMADEUS begins previews on January 18th, opens on January 26th and runs through March 6th on the WST Mainstage.

Continuing the 50-year anniversary celebration of Harper Lee's landmark book-turned-legend, ‘TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD' opens on January 14th, 2011 as THE PRODUCTION COMPANY unveils their new larger space, The Lex Theatre; 6760 Lexington Avenue, in Hollywood's Theatre Row.

The theatre scene in St. Louis in 2010 turned out to be another year filled with fine productions and superb performances. Despite the economic barriers faced by all the local theatre companies many continued to take risks, presenting material that challenged audience expectations, but entertained them as well. And so, I'm presenting my own top ten of 2010, to honor the shows that beguiled and entranced me this past year.

New Hampshire Theatre Project's 2010-11 Season continues with Amadeus, Peter Shaffer's exquisite masterpiece and winner of a Tony Award for Best Play and an Academy Award for Best Film. After 20 years and six versions, this latest script is hailed by reviewers as an 'extraordinarily focused and lucid play' that is far superior to the original which opened on Broadway 30 years ago. Infused with Mozart's brilliant and heartbreaking music, the story of Court Composer Antonio Salieri's fierce jealousy of child prodigy Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is theatre at its very best - a dramatic power struggle between two imperfect human creatures and their perfect Divine Muse.
