Opened in 2008, the Flag Art Foundation is a non-profit art institution that features established and emerging artists from over 25 countries. The objective of the Flag Art Foundation is to promote and encourage the appreciation of contemporary art. It is a unique environment that is both educational and entertaining, and visitors can view and contemplate the artworks displayed. Curators select works from a variety of sources in order to include a wide variety of representation in each exhibit. For its September 2014 exhibition, the featured curator was Shaquille O'Neal. Shaq Loves People exhibits portraits of people from various races, cultures, and ethnic background. It is a celebration of the human spirit, and typifies the relationship between O'Neal and his fans.
