As 2015 comes to a close, BroadwayWorld takes one last look at this season's brightest moments before the curtain comes down, showcasing what readers - and audiences - loved most. Below, check out the curtain call highlights on Broadway from 2015!

Playhouse Creatures Theatre Company (Producing Artistic Director Joseph W. Rodriguez) presents Tennessee Williams 1982, an evening of two, little known, one-act plays by Tennessee Williams, both completed in 1982, the year before the playwrights death. Directed by Cosmin Chivu (2013 revival of Tennessee Williams' The Mutilated), Tennessee Williams 1982 features the world premiere of A Recluse and His Guest and New York Premiere of The Remarkable Rooming-House of Mme. Le Monde. These two chamber pieces epitomize the theatrical imagination the playwright employed throughout his long writing career combined with the freedom he found later in life. Crisply written black comedies, these fierce plays center on the demands of unlikely human relationships in exotic locales fraught with tension.

Bobby Cannavale, Edie Falco, Frank Wood and other accomplished actors will perform in Larger Than Life: The Supersized Plays, the Project's Fall 2015 Playmaking show. 

Classic Stage Company's production of Bertolt Brecht's MOTHER COURAGE AND HER CHILDREN, starring Tony Award winner Tonya Pinkins, begins performances tonight, December 9 for a limited engagement through January 24. MOTHER COURAGE AND HER CHILDREN will be directed by Brian Kulick and will feature original music by Tony Award winner Duncan Sheik. The official press opening is Thursday, January 7.

In what has become an annual ritual, a total of 36 established and emerging composers, lyricists, and librettists will converge on the Goodspeed campus from mid-January through mid-February 2016 to participate in the Johnny Mercer Foundation Writers Colony at Goodspeed Musicals. The writing teams, representing 19 new musicals, will populate the campus, creating a truly exciting environment for discovery and inspiration. The 52nd Street Project makes a difference in the lives of countless Hell's Kitchen (Clinton) kids by pairing them with theater professionals who mentor them through the creation of original theater. Perhaps the most poignant presentations made by The 52nd Street Project are those in its semi-annual Playmaking series, which features the Project's youngest Hell's Kitchen mentees-ten year-olds who have just begun their theatrical education-writing for accomplished professional actors and revealing their work to a public audience for the first time. This Thanksgiving, a giant bird takes to the sky in a mad dash down Manhattan streets as THE ANGRY BIRDS MOVIE's Red debuts as a colossal character balloon in the 89th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Classic Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick and Managing Director Jeff Griffin, has announced that its production of IPHIGENIA IN AULIS, acclaimed playwright Anne Washburn's (Mr. Burns, a post-electric play) transadaptation of Euripides' final play, directed by Obie Award winner Rachel Chavkin (Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812), will extend through Sunday, October 4 at CSC (136 East 13th Street). IPHIGENIA IN AULIS features original musical by The Bengsons and choreography by Sonya Tayeh. IPHIGENIA IN AULIS is part of CSC's Greek Festival, celebrating classical Greek theater as explored by some of the downtown theatre scene's most exciting artists.

HBO received 43 Primetime Emmy® Awards, the most of any network for the 14th year in a row, and the most in HBO history, in the 67th Annual Primetime Emmy® Awards competition.

Through out the past week, BroadwayWorld has been brinigng you coverage of the 67th Annual Emmy Awards with a decidedly theatre-specific focus, and tonight will be no different. The Huntington Theatre Company opens its 2015-2016 season with the Tony Award-winning musical A Little Night Music, Stephen Sondheim's most romantic and popular work, led by Tony and Olivier nominee Haydn Gwynne, as well as Broadway's Stephen Bogardus and Lauren Molina. Huntington Artistic Director Peter DuBois (after all the terrible things I do; Smart People; Rapture, Blister, Burn; and Becky Shaw) will direct. Performances will run tonight, September 11, through October 11, 2015 at the Avenue of the Arts / BU Theatre.
