The producers of A Christmas Story, The Musical have announced that Dan Lauria will star as radio icon Jean Shepherd in the production when it arrives on Broadway at The Lunt-Fontanne Theatre for its November 5 - December 30 engagement. Last seen on Broadway in the title role of Lombardi, Lauria is best known to television audiences around the country for portraying fathers, including dad Jack Arnold in the long running series 'The Wonder Years,' and his current role as dad Jack Sullivan on the TBS comedy 'Sullivan & Son." Cougar Town, the acclaimed sitcom starring Golden Globe(R) nominee Courteney Cox, is moving to TBS. The top-rated network has ordered a fourth season of Cougar Town, and has announced a start date of Tuesday, January 8, 2013. TBS has ordered a second season of the popular new sitcom SULLIVAN & SON. Currently airing Thursdays at 10 p.m. (ET/PT), the comedy is averaging more than 2.5 million viewers in its first season and ranks as one of the Top 25 new summer series on television. TBS has ordered 10 episodes for the second season, which is slated to launch in 2013.

The Jeff Awards Committee announced 197 nominations in 34 categories for Chicago Equity theatrical productions, which opened between August 1, 2011, and July 31, 2012. The Jeff Awards judges attended opening nights of 118 Equity productions offered by 55 producing organizations. From these openings, 96 productions were 'Jeff Recommended,' which made them eligible for award nominations.

Christmas Story, The Musical! will arrive on Broadway at The Lunt-Fontanne Theatre just in time for the 2012 holiday season. The producers have announced that the new musical, based on the 1983 movie perennial, will play a November 5 - December 30 holiday engagement. Opening night is Monday, November 19.

Last night, 2.5 million viewers cozied up to the bar for the series premiere of TBS's new sitcom Sullivan & Son. The series, starring popular comedian Steve Byrne, also nabbed 1.3 million adults 18-49 and 612,000 adults 18-34.

Broadway vet Christine Ebersole will star in TBS's new workplace comedy SULLIVAN AND SON, premiering Thursday, July 19, at 10 p.m. (ET/PT). The actress will portray 'cougar' Carol on the series. Joining Ebersole in the cast is comedian Steve Byrne, Jodi Long, Vivian Bang, Owen Benjamin, Valerie Azylnn, Dan Lauria and Brian Doyle-Murray.

TBS has renewed its new sitcom Men at Work for a second season. Currently airing Thursdays at 10 p.m. (ET/PT), the comedy ranks as one of basic cable's Top 5 new series with adults 18-49 for the quarter. TBS has ordered 10 episodes for the second season, which is slated to launch in 2013.

As A Christmas Story, The Musical! prepares for a Broadway engagement this holiday season, the show's producers have announced that they will begin their search for young actors. An open audition for children between the ages of 8-13 will be held on Saturday June 16, 2012 at Pearl Studios (500 8th Avenue, 12th floor). Registration begins at 11:30AM with auditions from 12:00-5:00PM.
