Stuart Moulton's Austin (Texas) Cabaret Theatre (may it thrive and prosper) turned 15 in tandem with his own 50th birthday. In celebration on Wednesday night, the Theatre's Artistic Director (also a performer himself) invited alumni and hopefuls to strut their stuff on the stage of 54 Below. The result was a wildly mixed bag of a show--featuring a few great vocalists and infectiously enthusiastic wannabes--which ran so exhaustively long that Moultan was able to change his clothes twice.

The Boy From Oz, presented by Pride Films and Plays, will be directed by David Zak, with musical direction by Robert Ollis and choreography by Cameron Turner. The musical previews Wednesday, August 5 and Thursday, August 6, with a press opening slated for Friday, August 7 at 7:30. BroadwayWorld has a sneak peek at the cast in costume below!

         Artistic director Mark Danni today unveiled that actress and singer Joan Ellison will perform a one-night-only concert Love Finds Judy Garland, Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at 8 pm.         

The Boy From Oz tells the amazing life story of celebrated songwriter and performer Peter Allen. Featuring songs by Peter Allen, book by Martin Sherman and Nick Enright, Direction by David Zak, Musical Direction by Robert Ollis, and Choreography by Cameron Turner, The Boy From Oz tells the exuberant yet heart-warming true story of a young Australian boy who loved to perform and ended up in the glamorous orbit of Judy Garland and her soon-to-be famous daughter Liza.

Margaret Juntwait, American radio broadcaster, and the voice of the Metropolitan Opera radio broadcasts, debuted in this position on December 11, 2004, replacing Peter Allen upon his retirement after twenty-nine years.  She lost her life to cancer on June 3, 2015.

Today we are talking to a world renowned stage and screen star who has excelled in playing a dizzying array of recognizable characters onstage and onscreen over the course of his unique and diverse career - the affable Alfred Molina. Besides discussing his many upcoming endeavors, Molina points out the importance of The Actors Fund in Los Angeles and highlights his participation in the upcoming LA Actors Fund Tony Awards Viewing Party, which will be held on June 7, and reflects on some of his fellow honorees, as well. Offering news on many of his current and forthcoming projects, Additionally, Molina also looks back at some of his most memorable roles to date ranging from his work with Paul Thomas Anderson on both BOOGIE NIGHTS and MAGNOLIA to his recent rapturously reviewed indie hit LOVE IS STRANGE co-starring John Lithgow to the Joe Orton stage-to-screen adaptation PRICK UP YOUR EARS and much more. Composer/lyricist Robert Creighton gives a gutsy performance as Hollywood's tough-guy song and dance man.

Eddie Bruce takes over the Boardwalk on Thursday nights this summer when he headlines at Resorts Casino and Hotel in the Screening Room for their Thursday Night Summer Concert Series. With four different themed shows, this popular entertainer will delight audiences at 8 p.m. on July 16 with 'Bruce on Broadway', July 23 with 'Bruce on Sinatra', July 30 with 'Bruce on Bennett' and on August 6th with 'Eddie's Favorites - from the Beatles to Buble'. The August 6th concert is Eddie's birthday and guests can share in the celebration with lots of surprises and birthday cupcakes for all. With music direction by Tom Adams, he'll be joined by pianist Tom Adams, bassist Andy Lalasis, drummer Grant MacAvoy and guitarist Tom Giacabatti.
