The love that dare not speak its name becomes exactly that in Bill McMahon's heart-tugging work Cover, a play which examines the fault lines found in even the most committed relationships. Produced by Tony Award-winning producer Jim Kierstead and directed by Paul J. Michael, Cover will be performed today, July 15 at 6pm, Thursday, July 17 at 7:45pm, Saturday, July 26 at 4:15pm, Sunday, July 27 at 7pm, Monday, July 28 at 7:30pm and Tuesday, July 29 at 6pm at the Dorothy Strelsin Theatre, located at 312 West 36th Street.
DONKEY PUNCH to Begin Previews 7/25 Off-Broadway at SoHo Playhouse

After a critically acclaimed run in June, Ivy Theatre will transfer their production of Micheline Auger's DONKEY PUNCH to Off-Broadway. Directed by Audrey Alford, previews of this limited engagement begin July 25 at SoHo Playhouse. Opening night is slated for Thursday, July 31.

PlayMakers' Summer Youth Conservatory to Perform HAIRSPRAY, 7/16-20

A cast of young student actors will perform the Tony Award-winning musical 'Hairspray' July 16-20 at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
High school actors and technicians will begin work on the production June 16.
PlayMakers Repertory Company, the professional theater in residence in UNC's College of Arts and Sciences, will present the Broadway musical as the culmination of its popular Summer Youth Conservatory.

Ivy Theatre Company presents the world premiere of The Feminism of a Soft Merlot or (How the Donkey Got Punched), an original play by award-winning playwright, Micheline Auger (recipient of the 2012 Paul Green Award) and directed by Audrey Alford. Dedicated to dynamic storytelling that explores the human condition in a visceral way, Ivy Theatre Company is working with Funny... Sheesh Productions in a space sharing partnership to promote artistic union and collaboration within the New York City independent theatre scene. In addition to sharing a space, the companies will be using the same production team and uniting their promotional efforts, as well as, hosting a joint fundraiser. Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs (MAC), dedicated to advancing the art and business of live entertainment, held their 28th Annual MAC Awards celebration last evening at BB King's Blues club in Times Square. Winners in twenty-five categories were announced. The show was hosted by the vivacious singer, band leader, multiple MAC Award winner and 2014 Nominee, Terese Genecco. The gala was produced by Julie Miller and directed by Lennie Watts, the current MAC President. Don Rebic served as Musical Director. Presenters included Will Friedwald of the Wall Street Journal and designer Bob Mackie.
