The producers of Gerard Alessandrini's acclaimed FORBIDDEN BROADWAY: ALIVE AND KICKING! are pleased to announce that Lindsay Nicole Chambers will join the cast of the hit musical on Tuesday, February 5 at the 47th Street Theatre (304 West 47th Street). Last seen on Broadway in Lysistrata Jones, Ms. Chambers replaces Jenny Lee Stern whose last performance is Sunday, February 3rd. FORBIDDEN BROADWAY: ALIVE AND KICKING! is scheduled to run through April 28th . The new recording, from DRG Records, is now available in stores, on iTunes and at Amazon.com.

Ann Hampton Callaway is uniquely qualified to pay homage to the great Barbra Streisand: a Platinum-award winning vocalist, songwriter and performer, she is a triple threat in the best sense of the word. Callaway is a prolific recording artist and a fixture both on and off Broadway. Her original compositions have been recorded by dozens of singers, including Carole King, Patti LuPone and Streisand herself. On January 19, Callaway and the Colorado Symphony, with resident conductor Scott O'Neil at the podium, will bring The Barbra Streisand Songbook to life at Boettcher Concert Hall.

This compelling tale of a 1960s Puerto Rican family dreaming and dancing its way toward show business will be helmed by director Giovanna Sardelli. SOMEWHERE plays now through February 10, 2013 (press opening January 19) at TheatreWorks at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts. Breaking News: Cole Porter's CAN-CAN Headed Back to Broadway in Spring 2014 with Revised Book; Workshop This Fall

Just announced is news that the Cole Porter classic, Can-Can, will kick up its heels in a new production to land on Broadway in Spring 2014. Presented by Jonathan Burrows, nephew of the musical's original book writer Abe Burrows, the new production features a revised book by David Lee (Two By Two and Gigi at Reprise, TV's "Frasier" and "Cheers") and Joel Fields (How I Fell in Love at Abingdon Theatre Company, TV's "Ugly Betty' and 'Raising the Bar'). Lee directs the production, featuring choreography byPatti Colombo (Peter Pan) and musical direction by Tony Award nominee Steve Orich (Jersey Boys). Prior to the Broadway production, a workshop will take place in New York in October 2013. Casting has yet to be confirmed.

The Acting Company and the Guthrie Theater present a national tour of Shakespeare's As You Like It running from January through April 2013. Rehearsing in New York, performances began at the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis on January 13 and will run through February 4 before leaving on a cross country tour to 29 cities in 22 states. It will play at New York's famed New Victory Theater March 1-10. Dan Rothenberg, Artistic Director of Philadelphia's Pig Iron Theatre has directed Shakespeare's lushly lighthearted comedy. Theatre Communications Group (TCG) has announced the publication of the newest play by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright David Mamet: The Anarchist. Just having completed its world premiere on Broadway under the direction of the playwright and starring Patti LuPone and Debra Winger, Mr. Mamet's work is also currently represented on Broadway with the revival of his award-winning Glengarry Glen Ross starring Al Pacino and Bobby Cannavale.
