Showbiz411 is reporting that Whitney Houston's estate is working on a documentary about the iconic singer, with Pat Houston, Whitney's sister-in-law, acting as executive producer. The site suggests the film would be more of a tribute than an 'objective film about Whitney's rise and fall.' The singer died at the age of 48 in February last year.

SiriusXM will mark what would have been the 50th birthday of the late superstar Whitney Houston with "Celebration of a Lifetime", a daylong special beginning Friday, August 9th at 9am ET.
