The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis (The Rep) is today announced its 2012-2013 season of performances on the Mainstage, as well as the three productions to be performed by its Imaginary Theatre Company (ITC). The three productions to be included in the Studio Theatre season will be announced in July.

FREUD'S LAST SESSION, the play by Mark St. Germain now in its second successful year in New York, is coming "for a session" at the Mercury Theater (3745 N. Southport, Chicago), making its Midwest Premiere previewing March 21, opening March 28 with tickets on sale through June 3.

Following The Way Off Broadway Children's Theatre's sold out run of Pinkalicious - The Musical, which opened the theatre's 2012 Season, another children's character is getting ready to move into Way Off Broadway for the spring and summer.

Directed by TACT Co-Artistic Director Jenn Thompson, performances began at Theatre Row's Beckett Theatre (410 West 42nd Street - between 9th & 10th Avenues) on Tuesday, March 13th, 2012 and the enjoyed an official opening night on Thursday, March 22nd. Performances will continue through Saturday, April 14th.

Today in 1997, Annie opened at the Martin Beck Theatre (now the Al Hirschfeld Theatre), where it ran for 239 performances. Annie is a Broadway musical based upon the popular Harold Gray comic strip Little Orphan Annie, with music by Charles Strouse, lyrics by Martin Charnin, and the book by Thomas Meehan.
